I never caer about it, but I think it's a bit strange how heal spec work.
I trained much in heal and with my lv 37 heal (95 hp value) I can heal max 118, like it was a cap. Is it normal that the heal cap of a spell is so near the value? Also all major heals heal the same amount of hp every time, even if i have low healing spec, is it correct too? |

If you want better heals don't use base heal when you got spec heals. Spec doesn't increase heal values, it just reduces variance. With 0 heal spec you can heal for the same amount with base heals but only if you're like extremely lucky. Usually you do very crap heals because it heals like 140, 180 and then some totally useless 30 hp etc. Someone with higher spec will just have good steady heal values but wont make higher heals with base. With spec of course he will definitely heal for more than the low or no spec healer because delves are much higher on those.

Yes but is it normal that heal caps so near the value? 93 hp of value and 118

Variance is 75%-125% unspecced and 125%-125% full specced. Dont know about overspec.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

sounds about right the way it is, as I remember speccing heal didn't do much for caps on heal spells, its more of a way to gain more powerfull heals and more usefull ones than the regular baseline ones, also provides more stable healing. if you're serious about healing and dont mind messing with RA's, try the wild healing RA, it's a lot of fun.
'omg did i just heal a fully buffed pally for 70% of his hp with one heal? O.o' <= talk about saving power ^^ |

Ul never b alive to heal ur grps pally ^^

Atm overspecc doesnt influence your Healpower, max heal is 125% of its value. Dont know if this is right , cause i didnt find anything on the herald about overspecc

I guess this is another issue that is ripe for live testing. here is some more insight into the matter courtesy of classes of camelot site:

I would assume according to this that any healing spec beyond the value of the spell would have no effect. |
|
you heal for 125% if your heal line is higher than the spell.
as your heal line is always higher than the heal spe spell that you'll use, you will alway heal for 125% with spe. if you would have 50 in healing and you use base spells, you would always heal for 125% with base spells too <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

with 39+11 Heal you have no variance on any Healspell

Well the issue is finding sources circa 1.80 and not basing this discussion entirely on memory, hearsay, or how things currently work on uthgard.
