This is what I meant with vw strange high defense^
It's true that vw got 33% abs (1% less than plated armor) but >[Valewalkers still have the armorfactors of a caster!]< and it's around 200 points lower than a plate wearer (and don't tell me that 50 af of charge is the difference). Anyway you can always try to hit a capped armsman (neutral to slash) and you will check that you do really more and more dmg even if it has muuuuch more af and more abs. P.S. I can't see well the shots and also downloaded they have too much low quality, if you can repost some 1000+ ![]() |

Well, with AF charge, my vw has 645 AF, that's more than scale without charge ... So 33% absorb + 645 AF + neutral to all gives you high resistance I guess.
But yeah if you hit more dmg on a plate wearer, there's a problem. But I'm curious to see it cause i doubt of it ^^ I am assuming direct control.

I though with cloth you had 550 with shield af+af charge which should be around 50 :O |
|
af charge should not stack with specc af selfbuff?!
|
|
570 with self AF
645 with self AF + AF charge By the way it's the same for every caster isn't it ? @malle: What do you mean ? Casters self AF is like base buff^^ I am assuming direct control.

LoL
AF buff got 125% of the value it got on live. Absorb buff is the same i think. and DO NOT say i have to make screenshots on live....

The live Screenshots will be taken by us. Issue opened in our tracker.

I fear you might be wrong hedra. Like the Dex/qui and Str/ con pots/charges they shouldnt stack with another buff of its own kind. Base af and spec af may be different things but spec af and spec af are supposed to raise the af beyond the armors max af unlike the base af which only raises to the max amount of af you can have without further af raises. Caster af in this case is a self buff and not a conc based af buff so another af charge shouldnt be able to stack. |
|
No I'm sure about it, when I played alb (on live), casters could get spec AF buff from cleric. And spec AF = AF charge.
Self AF doesn't stack with base AF but it does with spec. I am assuming direct control.

hm...only one question left for me: Does af spec buff stack with spec af charge? If yes on uthgard is it correct? I guess its not correct that this should work in case its possible.
|
|
Not a single spec buff should stack with charges.
Exemple that shouldn't stack - Strenght/constitution - Dexterity/quickness - AF (ranger, etc) - Haste - Damange add (well it stacks with 2 but with a special formula posted 3 or 4 times all over the forum) So in this case, only base AF (from any healer class) could stack with a spec AF. (note that base AF is useless with a lvl 51 full qual 99 armor). And therefore should NOT stack with charge. Regards. Last edited by Pirith on Apr 16, 2008 04:55, edited 1 time in total.

Once again, caster self AF is considered as a base buff and stacks with spec AF. But indeed I think ranger's one doesn't stack cause it's spec (not sure about it) I am assuming direct control.

In albion you have alot of reaver as tanks in group, in midgard you have savages as tanks in group...in rvr and pvm...this 3 classes are special and make alot of damage...more than a standard tank...and i think its ok, its a SI class and there is no reason to discuss about it. SI classes have more abilities, are stronger... This week we discuss about the valewalker and next week we take the reaver...or the savage...and dont forget the bonedancer... ![]() |
