I am about to hit 40 with my healer and I am trying to decide on a spec. I started as AUG and everyone seemed to ask if I was PAC. At 20 I re-specced to PAC and now all I get are tells asking if I am AUG. Which spec should is wanted more for RVR?

Both. Choose the one you liked more

33/18/38! : ) Fill in for whichever spec your group is missing!

For pve, sure, but rvr you will end up playing the pac roll, because peeps want those resists. What do you desire more? Your melee to worship (and yell at) you for celerity, or everyone appreciate pom/ get mad at you for not getting mez off first? Kisadra, Druid

Both run in RvR and PvE groups so pick which one you liked the most and go with it. I'm Pac and wont change to aug because i like making people stop moving and die.

There are several options but none of them are cookie cutters. All based on your needs and your team setup
The spec can go like these 38 Pac for instant stun/44 for red AoE mezz 18 Aug for Celerity/ 20 to reach haste buff 30 Mend is base line for first SPREAD HEAL, 31 for a nice spec heal. 32 for 75% instant heal. Pure Aug healers have good resist buffs and Pure Pac healers have good red mezz. Most Healers I have met at 50 are Tri-Spec, mostly for utility and versatility. |

Go tri-spec if u cant decide.
30 mending with first spread heal 26 aug for blue celerity 37 psv for yellow pom and first insta ae mez. U gonna miss insta ae stun, but it works well |
|
AE stun is ****** against Det classes anyways, so you aren't missing much. |
|
You can't make this spec, 30 mend / 37 pac leaves you only enough points for 25 aug It's the thrill of the chase

Also, first instant AE stun is at 38... Making the spec even more impossible. As for OP... The answer is to make 2 Healers. |

Best spec for healer rvr
25 Mend - Both insta heals, better group heal, better single target 18 Aug - Celerity and haste = 34% 44 Pac - red aoe mezz = less resists |
|
best spec
32 rejuv - You NEED that spread, and also gives you big insta 20 aug - just need first celerity, blue cel is a mere fraction better and not worth at all, check the numbers 38 pac - gets you all the spells inc aoe stun |

Dont listen to the ppl advocating tri-spec. Its fine for PvE, but for RvR you will be lacking.
Aug: If you want to be an aug healer, you NEED atleast 37 aug. Its not about the celerity, its the resists. 37 is yellow energy (Mez and Hib PBAOE) resist. If you arent 37 aug, you arent an aug healer. Mend: 30, 32, 35 or 39 are your stopping points. 30 - First Spreadheal. You want spreadheal. At the moment, single target heals are slightly bugged and cost more power than they should, spreadheal does not. Its your highest hp/power ratio heal, so cost effective even if it seems to cost allot. 32 - 75% Single target instant 35 - 75% group isntant 39 - blue spreadheal. Even more power efficient if used well, assuming there are 2 or more targets taking damage. As an aug healer, your main job will be keeping celerity up and keeping the group alive, while your pac healer(s) controll the enemy group and act as backup healing. 39 mend, 37 aug is in my opinion the best spec for you. Any group wanting an aug healer, will want that healer to have 37 aug for resists. This is ofc assuming 8 mans. For small groups, tri-spec is perfectly viable. Pac: Im less experienced with pac, but common specs include 36, 38, 44 or 47 pac, most commonly 36 or 38 for instant mez and stun. |
|
Most people stop at either 38 or 44. I've never met anyone that went beyond 44 (althought 45 gives you a red PoM) because you cannot touch 30 med once you cross the 44 mark in PAC. |

I can't fully answer your question, but I can give you some pointers: If you plan to exclusively 8man in a 3 healer setup, I would suggest Tri Spec (38 Pac / 33 Mend / 19 Aug) - This gives you insta aoe stun, yellow pom, green celerity. Alternatively, you can go Aug as well (prefer 2x Tri spec healer / 1 aug for this setup, milage may vary) If you plan to exclusively RvR in a 2 healer setup, go whichever spec the other guy isn't (you run one aug, one pac). If you plan to primarely smallscale, zergsurf, then I would, again suggest the Tri Spec mentioned above, as utility is king. Good luck and have fun! ![]() Just about done..
