The celerity change to damage seems to go against the other haste logic. So celerity both makes you hit faster and harder? ![]() EDIT: Never mind ![]() Got any questions? Submit them to me and I will try to get them answered in our grab bag !

Celerity does not effect damage, only attack speed. If you have a target hitting for 250damage at a 3.0 speed, you give him Celerity, and it drops his attack speed to 1.5(cap) he will still hit for 250. |

So according to this styled swings with haste should do less damage and without (or debuffed) more. Yet without styles the formula is correct. I have my doubts as I'm not sure as to why styled swings and haste should affect eachother. There's a lot of variance when it comes to styles (growth rates). Has to be something like:
The haste is in the Effective Speed - faster swings lower the STYLE DAMAGE but the overall damage over time is still higher with haste than without, although styledamage decrease. Uthgard till 2003!

yes indeed, at the reading of the recentish news (spring) I let myself get intrigued.....Even took my pc to the shop for a tune up and some new features simply for this Uth 2.0 ( I know , its an old game and doesnt require much in the perfomance dep.) But i needed a reason to give my pc the TLC it needed. I hope this server launches soon, bc once i get my pc back I will find something to play, and once I find something I get hooked.....I dont wanna get back into League of Legends again(although it is a good game), just gimmie Uth 2.0 please ![]() |

Thanks to the staff for the news and the presence and availability that demonstrates to the community. This makes feel them and opening Uthgard close.
Two aspects, in my opinion, are more important than others, and I would like to focus on these to have more clarity: 1) Hybrids tank classes without determination. Their possible a priori exclusion from rvr groups, for a reason almost aesthetic linked to patch level 1.65, makes me think that it is not a decision but a no-decision in relation to a problem that could occur at the expense of the enjoyment of the game in a its part. 2) level rank in the bg and / xp off. Another situation that according to the decision that is taken is to radically change the approach of the player who feels cut off by some chance or considered in a space for him. I hope I was clear. After a surge in work, I finally had a chance to read some of the replies to my post earlier. Just in case anyone missed it, here is a summary of what I said. Basically, based on this news post from the GM's they reset the server and shut the server down for 2+ years so they could implement a proper working BD, Necro, and implement Old RA's. All things that were on the list to be done prior to resetting the server and shutting it down. My question was simply why the server shut down and or reset. Yes, anyone who was on this server know's I was upset about losing my toons. No shocker there, but that was not why I posted what I did. My questions were simple and made perfect sense.
Now, in response to some of those replies:
Agreed very much. It is a game on somebody else's dime and I enjoyed my time. The problem is that I invested years into a toon just to have that hardwork taken away. Not because of anything I did, but rather because another server opened and had early success. FYI, not upset about losing items, or money, or anything like that, just upset about losing RR which took YEARS to obtain.
Fair enough Skarz, but are they implementing SI? Nope. So they even admit in their own post, "We are also aware of the str/con charge availability problem that rises from this situation and will provide a proper solution for all realms." which means.... wait for it.... CUSTOM SOLUTIONS!!! To start off the new server. I don't care what it will be, it will be a custom solution that people who start here years later will not have the same start as ones who started here before. Meaning, once again, that server wipe was kind of unnecessary.
Agreed 100% Razzer. I have almost always liked your outlook on this server and game.
My answer would be an emphatic "No." No way in hell. The only reason it was shut down was because with both Genesis and Uthgard being on the Dawn of Light servers it killed the GM's to see themselves getting killed in the numbers department. Go back and look at how I said that the Genesis server was going to have issues and start to lose players. Sure enough, its now even worse off then Uthgard was prior to Genesis.
100% agree and have said the same thousands of times before. The good hard core players won't care. For the first 6 months to a year they will fly up in RR's simply because the amount of people will be higher than it ever was before. After 6 months to a year almost every problem that existed prior to Uthgard being shut down will pop up again. Population will dwindle then the gap between hardcore and casual will widen and everyone will be blaming class X for being to powerful or Y realm for being to overpopulated or whatever excuse you want to hang your gripe on.
I also had that same mentality. It took me almost 3 years (mainly solo play) to get my ranger to RR10. I did it with the slow and steady methodology. Yet then that methodology was thrown out when my hard work got dumped because a new server came along and people thought a reset would fix problems. The truth is, I am somewhat trolling. Was bored at work and wanted to see what people thought of the new news from Uthgard. Not surprised that most people are happy about it. I certainly wish them the best of luck, but I'm not going to come back and invest years of work into a new toon when years from now they may decide that the custom fixes pre-SI constitute another reboot when a new server comes along and decimates the population again. |
