Update is STILL failing

Please someone explain to me clearly what to do for it, i'm still having the following error message when daocportal is updating himself :

re-downloaded/re-installed daocportal, rebooted xx times, new game.dll, deleting portal.exe/launching updater.exe, killing process,etc...

I can't believe i'm the only one still having issue with that ? please help it really starts to ****** me off...

run doac portal as admin

(right click at the exe run as admin)
Back to NF, NEW RA.

And if that doesn't work, manually delete Portal.exe and rename "update.Portal.exe" to "Portal.exe"

thanks for the two previous answer but it didn't worked because of me, i thought i had some random error message related to another thread i read so i just took the same, but it's not.

I edited op with my real error message.

Check that your firewall is not blocking the patcher from accessing dolserver.net

TheKrokodil is on track with his suggestion. The error you're getting is basically saying that the port that the portal uses to update is in use (or blocked). You said you've tried killing the process and starting over, that rules out the lingering process. Try closing down other applications that could possibly be using the port, add the Portal client to Windows Firewall (or just turn it off to test), if it still throws the error - the issue lies with your router, which you should be able to grab the ports from Windows Firewall if you added the application to the exceptions list...

Of course, I just now realized TheKrokodil is a developer on the portal... Oh well, I typed it all out, and I'm going to post it!
