... the problem is: We are at max 750 player in primetime, not even near 2.000 or any similar population, like in Salis for example.

I don't think it is a good idea to use such a long port time additional to the way far too big RvR zone.

Sorry to say this, but I really don't think this will make the Uthgard population rise, even not higher the RvR, especially because the RvR population is just good in primetime, in Agra for example we was happy if 1 or 2 enemy grps ran besides ours.

You wont wait full 8 mins most of the time, so its quite fast port time.

Welcome to non fast-food-rvr

get used to it boys, if you want insta rvr action - go play insta 50 servers

Uthgard is classic , classic means having to wait for action and not just some insta port insta kill action

ofc. porters have to be usable and balanced, but saying they should be somewhat insta.. no, you better get used to it

I like zarkors suggestion of the horse routes though, would make it more viable at low peak hours

Live servers had a max population of 3.000 not 20.000.

You could get to Agramon/NF Emain in under 30seconds, which we played here for years and now all of a sudden uthgard is classic you have to wait 8-16minutes?

This was only changed due to heavy whine in forums. The teleporters were NOT intended just a workaround. This is not another Instant50 shard.

With some Patch during the old frontier phase, Mythic introduced Hasteners at porting Keeps and at each Keep in the frontier. This made it much faster to walk through your own frontier. When i went to rvr yesterday, i really missed those hasteners.

I think the introduction of Hasteners at keeps would solve that problem better than Horse Routes. If players on those horses cannot be attacked, the whole old frontier system is useless and if they can be attacked, those routes will be camped 24/7... ;)

Porting times will have to be tested. But 8 minutes (most time you won't have to wait 8 minutes) really isn't that long. Get something to drink, go smoking, relax and talk to your mates.

You voted maybe for portsystem, but the other people voted for zonechange and old RAs.

Also with NF we could have the current portsystem, but why not? Because it doesn´t give any atmosphere at all when you wait 345 times for the same NPC ( magician helpers, cast animation and text of the portritual is missing)

The idea with horseroutes would be wonderful for each of the homezones:)

P.S.: 8mins or 16min ( if you missed the port) arent very much for 24/7 players (or maybe 4+ hours a day), but if you die 2-3 x and missed every port and have around 2h playtime at all. You used nearly the half of the time with porting and most of the other time with seacrhing a enemy( okay with primetime there shouldnt be a prob to find someone)

The waiting time is then long if u just happen to have afker in group that u have to wait another 8 min.

It's not even when you have an 'afker', just someone who wasnt watching the screen for a few seconds, and forgot to put their necklace on. Then its atleast another 9 minutes until the group is buffed and ready to go, another 5/10 mins until there is action, and it this will repeat for the group that dies.

Im with you Nayru, Uthgard has to be severe about classic rules and thats why teleporting must remain.

But i started this topic with the hope the staff understand that a so long cooldown on porting process is not necessary.
Current waiting time just will make 2-3 fg's alb/mid port at same time into emain, with the consecuent milegate zerg. Non counting boredom and afk/necklace miss stuff Ref just commented.

Uthgard is the result of to understand and correct Mythic faults, but i dont see wrong or anti-classic to lower porting cooldown; a suitable fix Mythic did and which didnt disturb anyone.
