I was reading a post on the Albion forums and was wondering to myself what is the ideal group setup for a Hibernia 8man.
Please post with reasons ![]() |

[1] Bard
[2] Druid [3] Druid [4] BM [5] BM [6] VW [7] Eldritch [8] Ench/Warden/Menta/Eldritch/Hero/BM/VW The last spot depends on your playstyle, your enemies and the skill of the last player :p If you have enough skilled players you can even try a caster-setup: [1] Bard [2] Druid [3] Druid [4] Manaeld/Lighteld [5] Manaeld [6] Enchanter [7] Lightmenta [8] Warden/Lightmenta/Blockhero/Enchanter Last edited by PNG on Apr 26, 2009 15:22, edited 2 times in total.

Planning to run a caster setup without a slammer isnt rly a good idea imo.

On the condition that your grp is able to kite with snare/disease even det5/charge-tanks won't have any chance to get into melee-range due to the fact that you either kite them as far that you will be able to cast again or your grp-assist with heat/cold-debuff will instantly kill all tanks following you.

Aggreed usually a deftank 2h hybrid is main assist in a bomb turret. But since blockrate is gimped and there are so few that skill enugh Mob you dont really have another choice, have you ? |

Hi,
i would run: Bard Druid Druid Bm Bm (Champ could also fit) Hero Ench Mana ofc Eld 48 Mana 24 light You got 3 unstoppable tanks(charge/det) and a nice caster debuff combo and good utility. The two Bm for steady rupt and pressure on enemy support. With additional rupt of Bard/Druid they can also assist targets down. Hero for guarding support and Casters. Slam/snare enemy tanks. Depending on fight can assist BM/Caster. Eld: With 24 light got 45% nearsight! So nearsighting/deseasing and debuff assist with ench. Ench for debuff and pet for additional rupt. The caster should overextend enemy tanks behind druid and assist them down. Hero slam and assit on them. Also nice to have 2 pbae for pet cleaning and situational fun ![]() Very strong setup setup if good played. Fabienne - Blademaster

Don't really see the point for having a VW in there, if you got an eld for disease. Also, VW doesn't have stoicism or charge, thus making him a weak link in the assist train. Change VW for a Hero with moblock, and take a heal warden for the last slot and you got yourself a very solid tank group. A BM would do too, but personally I found that a heal warden can be quite useful in tight situations. |

Unusual for Uthgard, but if you want to do a caster group, lose the redundant 3rd druid and replace it with a heal warden (fend, resis, twf) and replace the 2nd eldritch with a hero for slam, guard and barricade (hoping that guard will work soon...^^). Otherwise all you have is a lot of heal power, which is useless against focused assist and no way to deal with enemy tanks other than kiting (which may or may not work, depending on the situation). Think that would overall be a more well-rounded setup. |

Ok, not trying to flame now - but why is it that you guys keep posting setups with absolutely redundant classes? If you got one good bard, 2 good druids - you dont need a 2nd bard. That slot is much better filled with i.e. eld/warden/slam hero.

Because on Uthgard bards can't play 2 songs at once. A group setup like that with split assist trains would own pretty much anything. Obviously you've never seen how much interrupting 2 good bards can do. Not to mention 2x demez, 2x sos, backup heals etc. A 2nd bard is far from "redundant".

They are clueless maybe and dont play hib? ~~
Tank setup: Bard Druid Druid eld light hero defbot (slam and backsnare NOT GUARDBOT) [can be bm with shield too if he can play] warden (with aog) vw bm Caster setup: Bard Druid Druid hero defbot [or bm] ench eld light menta light social slot -> another caster or random tank for rupt Hybrid setup: Bard Druid Druid eld ench hero defbot bm vw Making guardbot (so high mob) is a bit pointless since block formula doesnt work correct. I dont recommend champs. Bm and vw got much higher dmg and utility. Vws got awesome damage, but most ppl still dont want to accept it ^^ And heat assist all the time - forget debuffing cold even for light eld, takes too much mana. Bm and vw is a good at, just remember to have bm with slam - helps a lot. |

Shieldmaster and a hybrid with no stoicism, awesome assist train :p And you called me clueless ^_^ Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

Yes. Anything with 2 druids, a bard and 5 dps can do well.
But question is. What is ideal grp setup? Imo vw is only worth in grp if youre running full tankgrp and take vw instead of eld for disease/rupt/petclear to have no soft targets. In at bm would be better. Vw has no stoic and low hp. Fabienne - Blademaster
