We are still working on it. Several tests have been done already more will follow.

I think it will not take so long any more.

what i found out was very funny, i already reported to a gm for looking after
i had a lvl 10 Paladin with Shield on lvl without any RA´s and was in group with a lvl 50 Theurg, as fun i guarded him and he casted on mobs blue and green for him...i blocked nearly every hit, so he didnt get any dmg or just a little bit
i dont know how it should be, but it seems, that the guard block depends on the lvl comparence to theguarded target and attacker...so i must say i stopped guard anyone lower then 3 lvl from my Paladin
1 day in Agramon i ran with lvl 42 with a lvl 50 group, we had mobadd from the bears (red/purple for lvl 50) i blocked 75% of all attacks from the bears (this time with moblock 3, shield still at lvl)

maybe its a beginning to start looking on the basic value from formula

but i must say, that with lvl 50 in rvr, even with moblock 3 you can block quiet a lot from a mid at of 3 inclusive savage (quadhit fullblocked)
it isnt the amount block i would expect, but it is playable even if not effective that it should be
but i must say i changed my hero from dashing defense to more moblock, even when dashing defense helps to get no dmg to your group for the time its active

when i fight alone mobs soem are nearly blocked and parried with every hit and some other mobs i am hitted every time expect one or two hits

maybe it isnt the block formula that is wrong, maybe it is the calculation like with cast resist, that is a bit much on uth sometimes, so maybe the block works well, but the result of successful blocks/casts are the problem :)

I noticed something strange about the block rate, I'm playing a paladin, at lvl 43 with 32 in shield. So, the thing is that I saw my paladin block around 0-1 hit per fight against many kind of mobs, then I got Mastery of Blocking 1 and 2 and now I block around 10-20 at least per fight. While it's normal that Mastery of Blocking increase the block rate the difference is way too big for the mere 5% MoB 2 is supposed to give. That's a problem I saw.

The block rate before MoB is far from right but when you get MoB it become much better but it's still not high enough compared to what it is supposed to be. I have another paladin, lvl 50 this one, with 42 shield and MoB 3 which allow me to say this. In comparison to live it is still too low.

What is the status on this ? I'm lvl 40 with 38+8 shield and MoB3 and blockrate is below par still..

I mean, even on bluecons i block like crap ^^

The status is ... when it's done ;)

But to give you a glimpse on what has been done so far. One topic within our staff-internal forum including 12 pages while almost every posting inherits a link to live-test chatlogs. At page 11 one of our mathematic geniuses figured out a formula that by now looks pretty accurate and which is going to be tested.

So far we can not give you a "release date".

What was happening in staff forums I've seen is pretty much similar to the rest of the boards: agreement, disagreement, sometimes bickering. The only difference is that there is no trolls there. :)
