shroom up at a save place (where they can't attack or can attack only one mob), pull mobs, let them die.
At lvl 30 sit at braemar wall and cast shrooms till you're 2l2, then go xping like before, then sit at wiltonwall cast shrooms till you're 3l2, then xp like before, then sit on thid wall and cast shrooms till you're 4l2, then get 50 with casting shrooms and die in agra cause noone walks into your shrooms...

Lame class, really.

play what you want to play.

those comments before are done by bad trolls that dont like animists or even hate them because they cant handle them.

Best way to level an animist is cast as many shrooms as you can into a mobspot with orange mobs then reg full and cast again

alternative you can constantly cast 3-4 shrooms but thats not as fast as the first method

If your shrooms pull too many mobs they get atacked and cant cast anymore you better run away if none of your shrooms can atack.
If you shrooms are allready dieing when one pulls a mob or even more you better run.

Keep in mind that your shrooms only got 1000 range thats 33% less than most casters and they die really quick if being aoed

One good way to use shrroms is to place as many shrooms as possible up so they cant attack a mob. Afterwards you cast a low shroom in cast range of your shrooms to pull single mobs

I play hib, I cant stand uncontrollable spampets that leech off of other ppl if not placed correct. Which is usually the case since animist is the most easymode class around, together with BD. Which I despise.

It's like WAR, everything is so easy to play, so what happens: everyone soloes and minds their own business, destroying the whole realm/MULTIplayer idea of the game.

This is why I cant stand animists, not because I can't 'handle' em.

Anyway, ..what Holz said. (massivmampfer)

You have no idea what you are talking about. Animists are not easy to level, unless you learn some hard lessons on how to play them. There are not many spots that are decent for shrooming. They die very easy when your pets refuse to hold aggro, because you pretty much have no defense at that point.

They also completely suck in RvR compared to other pet classes. Animists don't have moving pets that stun and beat you down like Alb classes(and I'm assuming you are an alb, since you didn't mention Necro's OR Thurgs)

Animists serve very little purpose in the overall game, and that is to farm gold and defend keeps. This makes whatever class you are playing much more easy mode than animists.

Also this game desperately needed classes that could solo and make decent coin, for times when you can't find a decent group. Animists overall are way more group friendly than any of the other farming classes out there.

1) options -> enable quickbar two and three

2) fill the third qbar with groundset macros.

---/macro pb /groundset 0
---/macro 150 /groundset 150

---do them for 0, 150, 300, 500, 700, 900

3) look for a spot with tightly packed mobs, they should con from blue to max orange.

4) your shrooms have 1000 units maximum range.
---close in on the spot, repeatedly setting your 900 macro.
---until your groundtarget is in front of the spawn, still a bit away, NOT in the spawn

5) turn around ( or to one side where you can run away to), set your groundtarget to 300, set up your main shroom, set it to aggresive.

6) face the spot again, set your groundtarget to PB (Point Blank, 0), cast shrooms, 3/4th of your mana.

7) set your groundtarget to 500, cast one more shroom. it should be in attackrange to the mobs now.

8) sit back and watch.

9) keep refreshing your main farm.

10) if your pullshroom cant reach any more mobs, set 1 shroom closer to the spot. never more then 900 away from your farm.

never put a shroom too close to soon, it will just pull a new mob with each shot, the rest of your shrooms will split their damage to all available targets instead of focusing on one.
so its preferable to only have one mob at a time, but in fast succession.
also, if a shroom dies while being attacked by mobs, the mobs will turn on you.

so if you pull to many at once, you probably wont survive.

pulling yourself is dangerous and should not be done until you have mcl and mana pots to set up enough shrooms to kill the mobs instantly.

they barely ever generate aggro, so the safest way to pull is with a shroom and dont attack the mobs yourself at all.

once you are confident enough in your method and mana supply, after you cleard a spot, you can put a new farm direcly into the spawn.
they then will kill anything on respawn.

since you killed them one after the other, thats how they will respawn, so the risk of getting overwhelmed is pretty low.

always keep mana in reserve to shot down stray mobs yourself.

also, many use the main shroom to pull.
i dont liek this method since it really takes ridicouls long to pick a target and often wont react on an attack order - or with delay.
also, if something passes by your main shroom in around 100 units, it will engage in meele, barely making damage.

also, the farm shouldnt be too farm from the spawn. if you have 900 units between your farm and pullshroom, the farm will only start to attack once the mob is already hitting your pullshroom. haveing around 500 distance will provide your farm with warmup time and they can mostly kill the mob before it reaches the pullshroom.

MOST IMPORTANTLY:

keep in mid the attack range of your shrooms. they are fire and forget and will attack anything in range.

set up in a way that dont compromises the gameplay of other players.
you can basicly level anywhere, so dont be a brick and make life harder on others.[/u]
