I'm trying to download the Darkness Rising client and I have been having a ton of trouble with it. First, I couldn't get the ~500kb downloader to work but eventually got it to after several tries. Now, I simply can't get it to download the game files without stopping and giving me some sort of error anywhere between 600kb and 12mb or so downloaded, as in here:
![]() I have tried a million times today and always get this same error. I read around the forums a bit and double checked some of the common solutions to errors I have seen from other posts. I have the correct information in the update file with no white spaces. I am also running as administrator. Thanks in advance for any help. EDIT: I'm also getting "Error Message(201): Cannot connect to server. Wait a while and try connecting again. If you still cannot connect, check your Internet settings." 9/10 times that I open camelot.exe, before it even starts the patching. So I get this almost every time, and then every once in a while I can get it to start downloading the files and then it just quits like stated above. ![]() |

Is there somewhere else I can download the client or something? I have no idea what clients are usable with the server and such. Is there an alternate method I can use or anything? Help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm i don't know the problem...
maybe try to download again the game and see if the 3288 Mb decrease. when your connexion is rupted, the DL doesnt restart from begining. so maybe you can have the full game after many tries <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

My connection is not ever interrupted.. I don't even use wireless. I'm plugged in via ethernet.
EDIT: I cannot even get it to start updating anymore. It times out and gives me the cannot connect to update server error message. I'm completely lost. ![]() |

I'm assuming it was something server side. Maybe it was just a lot of traffic coming through or something, I'm not sure. After trying all day I gave up and played some Team Fortress 2 for a while, and then I tried it again on the late night before I went to sleep and it downloaded all the way through flawlessly. Yay for finally being able to get in on some good old classic DAoC.. oh how I have missed you.
