situation: you see milegate, you go behind it, you instadie because 30 mushrooms nuked you at the same time.

edit: before this turns into animist-hate thread, we played with animist in group on ariadolis, it is very versatile and fun class, I just can't stand the mentality of people who roll animist just to place bajilion mushrooms to instakill people on bridge, wow so much fun

tbh i find it as fun as people walking right into a PA in the milegates (insta dead lvl 40 casters make me rofl irl)

dont run in like a lemming, turn on your sounds, look around, run out of sight when you notice shrooms, get your stealthers to report ****** in broad like they do on hib. (i'd like to take the opportunity to say thanks to those hib stealther helping their realm, it is very appreciated :))

btw, 3s casttime is not instant death.

i think we should use this thread to voice our opinions on the CS styles instead.
PA taking 75% hp off of anything not a maintank is stupid. discuss.

Well.. yea. I can't stand the general animist attitude in RvR. Camp, cast shrooms, lure, run, hope for shrooms to kill, dont think further than forest hearts, ...
OR
Camp keep walls, shroom all over the place, wait for the enemy to come (which the wont! with 10 billion shrooms in front of them!). Wait some more.. cast some more shrooms... *the small amount of tanks left in BGs sometimes leave the CK and run to the inc* Oh look some ppl are actually approaching their enemy! Go there, cast more shrooms, hope for some pro leeching, .............

It's a disease !

Use your tanglers, use your bombs, use your lifetap, do something USEFULL for a change!

(I play hib..)

PS: 2nd scenario happens in braemar every day, that's why hibs practically have it 24/7. Animists have TOTALLY ruined braemar, other BGs seem to be doing better, tho bridges in wilton are just as bad sometimes.

Yup I'm not exactly fond of them either camping milegates/bg keeps etc.

The thing is that they're still lacking decent bomber damage. I ran with ani in group for a while on uthgard and yes they can add some utility with tanglers. But that was in a well organized 8v8 group. Anis just don't add much atm in your average Joe group.

They can still irritate me though :p

I wish I had a Non Hib - stealther to stalk Animists. The RPs must be so easy. Insta root would maybe slow you down for a second but vanish ftw. Stealthers often take out animists and isnt this game all about match ups?

Sorry, but I can understand camping Animists. Our spec DDs still dont work like they should.

But is really sucks. There are one animist ever in hmg.He spam 1100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
pets and 2 or 3 luri shades. If you are stealther they desthealth you and run camp, and shroms kill you in 2-3 seconds. Or animist spam shoorms and stay behind one tree. If you try kill him he ever run camp and you cant do nothing, or shrooms kill you or camp guards or some adders.
Only salbei run with fg rest of animists camp hmg no more.

True, tho I can imagine it being a pain to see your stealther target run away past HMG gates knowing you'll insta die if you try to finish him off.

I'm pro removing camps & guards all the way (porting too), let people walk for a change, it's not only good for your health, it'll also make ppl a bit more cautious and gives a decent bottleneck point (bridges). Oh and, there's always a hastener :P .
Will take longer to reach agra you say? Of course it will, tho it's not agra you want, it's RvR and by removing camps RvR will spread out to the keeps. I think the realm system will come more to it's meaning this way. Besides some relic and tower fights (which were already in) the new RvR system hasnt really added a lot to normal roaming RvR, Agra is still where it all happens and still is too small due to the camps... mids still dont give a damn about adding or zerging and the size of agra doesn't help that sadly. :evil:
Last suggestion: up the xp bonus in emain to 20% and give the rest of NF 10%. There's no good spots in Emain for a hib grp, only decent spot is the breifine fins, but rather useless compared to mainland zones due to the ability to use fires there. Also.. some enemies really come that far so it's worth granting those zones a bonus imo.


I guess I better make a new thread for this, excuse me, please go on about animists, it's also interesting. I'll make this post again in a new thread.

Camp is nearly the same like a keep or something...you can get an advantage by seeking for security.

But i have to agree that camp should be removed. hastener is fast enough and there are still horses available, or boats
