Forumstuck at char select screen

Well I finally got everything done, got to char select screen, and when i click my char and then play, nothing happens. Ive tried making new chars and the same problem persists. I have no idea what to do at this point, i can taste the daoc but cannot ...eat it...?! any help would be greatly appreciated.
edit* ive tried getting on other servers, same problem is occuring : / |

i might need to patch, not sure if that would not allow me to play

try patch it with the check all files clicked - should fix most problems
