According to this, dwarfes seem to be playable as Healer, Bersi and Thane.

if you want to play a dwarf, play a dwarf! high con is not optimal, but still useful for those classes. imo you should pick what you like to look at, and for many classes stats don't matter that much anyway.
march to a different number! (had to look in a dictionary for that ^^) a dwarven runemasters beats +0,00000123% powergaming performance. by far.

well if the server can get to high population then dwarf would make a very viable zerker or thane or warrior, due to the hp (this is due to more solo running around) but hey if you like dwarf roll one....if every tank is a troll thats a pretty boring realm lol
If you cover your ass....with the same old song....you might as well be farting with a walkman on.<br>

Dwarves are good as:
- Beggars
- Drunken bum
- Siege ammunition

Period.

Since when did race matter at all at 50? It matters a little more than live with the classic nature of the server..but come on. Race mostly matters for targeting and personal preference. You should be able to make up for deficiencies with RA's.

Its sad, but true, Dwarfs are not the best choice for any class.
I often want to make a dwarf, bur for every class there is a better choice :(

so... leave the dwarfs for beeing a good looking char and choose another race to make useful characters ;)

IMO a Dwarfs pro's can't be proven mathematically by stats. His advantages appear in gameplay:

- you are small and can better hide behind a wall/tree/bush than a Troll/Norse
- pro for the dwarf-healer: you are not the first target since most ppl expect a dwarf to be melee and go for a Kobold/Frostalf intuitively (i hate to be a frostalf shaman)
- you are harder to click(target) esp. if you are on wall or during inc-chaos

I think in 50 rvr its not decisive if you have more str or more const, wether your group dies/wins depends on a lot factors and the race of the tank is one of the minor imo. It is of course no real pro to have more const instead of str but i wouldn't count the dwarf as a pure 2nd choice for any class since he has the size-advantage. Imo the dwarf is the best race for healer. I run as Thane-Dwarf and don't regret my choice, even if i would loose vs a troll thane

You need in Midgard only 3 races:

1. Tanks -> Troll or Kobold (Kobold svg ftw!)
2. Healer -> Frostalf!
3. Shaman -> Kobold
4. Caster -> Kobold or Frostalf

Hunter - Valkyn (low const, but highly dextrous and quick)

BS.. this is a rpg.. choose ur class and get lucky with it. Whether you suck at 50 or not will not depend on your class. In RvR the targeting-aspect is much more important than a lil bit more str, dex/qui or something else. Als Frostalf ure the first target, as troll ure easy to click. Try to target a running small kobi or dwarf in a fg with trolls.
I like Dwarfs for being healthy beerdrinking grumbly brave (small and strange smelling) guys =) So choose your class by symphaty not for being 100% perfect (in others opinion..)

In my opinion it's one of the most important magic resistance.

+1

Can't believe people would pick a few stat points over that.
