hi,
i couldnt get a clear answer on that, maybe someone can help me.
as we know, dual wield chance raises by something like 0.68% per skillpoint.
but is dw capped at 50 (would be 25%+34%=59%) ? or does for example 50+15 give you 69.2% chance to swing offhand ?

The Dual Wield skill then determines if you can land a doublehit, thus striking with both weapons (15% base chance + 0.5% per specialization point). The caused damage, as well as the delay till the next hit is always determined by the originally hitting weapon. The higher the Dual Wield skill, the more you would want to wear two (equally) good weapons.

Styles on the other hand always strike with the main weapon (right hand). So if you have different weapons it is more useful to put the better one in your main right hand.

hope that covers it.

thanks, but ive already seen that site. unfortunatly, it explains how dw works, but not if its capped.
one could assume, its not capped, because its nowhere written explicitly, but i want to be sure before skilling dw too high.

its not only the chance of hitting with both weapons .also your style damage goes up with dw styles + you can use better styles. really no point in NOT going 50 dw as a merc / bm.
its a different thing as infi/ns - but in general you want it as high as possible.

ok thank you for the information. im speaking especially about infi, so the dw styles arent as interesting as the swing chance for offhand.
without cap at e.g. rr10 that would be dw50+21 which looks like a good bonus.
