I've been playing for 9 hours and I'm level 8. I figured this was like older daoc, but didn't think it was this old. This is ridiculous, as a brand new player with no money or anything, I'm getting very discouraged already. I don't like begging or asking for PL's, and I'm not going to, but jesus, I've been in Nisse's for nearly 2 hours and gotten about 11 bubs. Any help would be appreciated thanks

seems u did not do the starterquests. else u would have been level 8 in 3 hours at least. plus..get a group. and u dont need begging, just look if there are crafters in your capital city, some of them might craft u a free level 15 weapon or so.

You don't have to beg, just ask for some money or items - this will help you trough the first levels and it's no problem for a high char to give you some gold or drops. I asked a few times for gold as I was new and they gave me immediately something. Now I often get asked for some items / gold and I have no problem to give something away so don't be shy, just ask... we all know how hard it is to start now from 0 on Uthgard

Haven't seen serious PL on Uth yet, it is allowed and possible as far as I know, but the best result you'll get if you find some players of ~equal lvl and exp together somewhere imo.
