lol!! (is all i have to say to those posts)
The conclusion made from all these posts are: 1) People are getting frustrated cuz they can't kill each other in game, so they're doing it on forums  <-- Flaming each other seems to be the new "in" thing to do.. 
2) Some of us are really bored/addicted/life revolves around uth/nothing to do in life/...and the list continues 
and reading the post about staff paying their bills and whatever, i would def have to agree with Nixian that these type of posts are really stupid and should be avoided COMPLETELY! if you don't know what's actually going on, then it's simple, DON'T COMMENT!! oh and @Gemma, yeh i think i did misunderstand u there  u are correct, my bad!

1) that is not new - this is typical behaviour since online mmorpgs exist 2) see above agree to the third part. i see the server is up again. thanks to the staff for their work, to manitu who doesnt work over the weekends (or do they? if - sorry) and to the players for not breaking lose a massive flamewar, commonly know as the daoc-offline-maddness-syndrom. Server is down... u have just saw an old topic.
If u go to home, u can see that : Last Update: 08.01.2009 01:34:35 And this on herald : Warning - SQL Error: Table 'dolcharacters' is marked as crashed and should be repaired |

yeah, it says online on front page and even the herald is working but i still can't connect. still get error that says service is not available.

Am I the only one seeing 195 players online on the herald, while none of us can join the server?

you're not the only one. I think that communication between the server and the herald is stalled. Could also be that all connections to the server are closed until the dev's have everything running the way they want it.
At least we are seeing green... even if it isn't for real. lol. <img src="http://herald.uthgard.net/daoc/sig.php?name=Koami&s=4" alt="Image">
