SVG and Zerk damage on Uthgard sucks
I played on live when they were bugged (doublefrost = anytime style = best style in the game and 50%+ quad chance) |
|
Ah, and you as an assist trains target won't be snared/mezzed/diseased... I wasn't saying SAVAGES ARE PWNZORWTFROFLOL THEY CAN RUN A FG MADE OF PURELY THEMSELVES, I was saying savages are the most powerfull group melee class here damage wise. Next time mid assist train kills you, please open combat window (or if you have "damage in" window even better) and figure out wich class did most of that damage. The world will look up and shout "Save us!"...and I'll whisper "NO U."

Sav and Berserker are pretty near to each other.Berserker has less damage spikes but its overall damage is above Savage...so it doesn´t rly matter which of those 2 hits you

it's SM forum, but i think that's clear for all that SM is not overpowered and so i think we can go on with savage discution.
yeah oki maybe savage do more dammage on a stuned target in an assist train... assist train works only when the fight is already over. otherway that doesnt work. try to assist train on my cabbi, wizard or cleric if my heal cleric is not dead, that would just make loose your group. to be good in rvr, you need to be able to deal dammage anytime, choose when you have to increase your dammage to get the kill and be able to stick your target. zerk doesnt need position to deal dammage, zerk can switch to berzerk mode when they have an open gate to get a kill ( if ever you kite him to far away from the fight) and zerk can choose to reach you if he thinks that can change the fight. and on top of that, with zerk you snare your target that is a must be for a fighter. if i follow your logic, you could say that wizard is better to kill enemies than a cabbi cause it deals more dammage... but dammage is just a small part of the way to kill. PS: just a question of noob, when we talk about "double, triple , quad" hit with savage. that means you it 2, 3 , 4 times with both weapons?

that means how many hits with 1swing. Quad hit is like 600 damage with just 1 swing(+- crits).

so if understand well "double hits" are like the blade master or mercenary double hit?
if you have a look down of this page http://forums.jeuxonline.info/showthread.php?t=212949&page=5 you can see that even with high HtH ability you still have 60% chance to do single hit, 25% chance to do 2Xhits, 5% 3Xhits and 7% 4Xhits. i don't remember exactly how works dual wield, but i think you arrive around 2/3 double hits at high level. so on this point bm and mercenary sounds better than savage. bm mercenary have same dammage than zerk, that s just the chance to double hit is changed in a % dammage. and to add a thing that's better for zerk , it's the zerk mode that allow you do choose when you want to do 4Xhits ( critical are something like that) and that lasts overtime and that's not a random 1 time every 15 hits maybe it's still my oint of view, but i think that's better to play choose what you wanna do even if your dammage that would be lower, than counting on the luck.

Strange but somehow ppl dont get it, that Svg actually does same damage on capspeed. Zerk doesnt have the attackspeed, which a savage has or at least not that often.. (depending on cele)
To dual wield. For Merc and BM its 0.68% to swing each 1point in DW specc (and i think 25% basechance), still a chance to miss this possible swing. Leftaxe in Midgard has a 100% chance to swing, since your LeftAxe is counted as a own Weaponline. To simplify this: You can see a Zerk as an offtank with 2 mainweapons.

Savages really have 2/3 of single hits on uthgard ? Hard to believe it ^^
|
|
svg shouldn't hit much more faster than a zerk if the celerity stack was not bugged. but that's another story. and zerk doesnt have 2 main hands, that just in place of having for exemple 75% chance to hit with your left weapon, your dammage will be 75% of it should be , but everytime. so there are no real difference @hedra : yeah that could be checked ^^... the problem would be to get a savage that agree to do tests to nerf his class

zerker > savage
zerker got a really op'ed BACK(!!!) chain |
|
Some high RR SVGs on live (while they were bugged) could kill buffed casters with 1 attack (high chance of quad hit)
PS: OK, we dont have relics on that server. |
|
As i said, the Damage spikes of Sav CAN be devestating. If all 4 weapons of a quadhit actually deal damage, which is quite rare since 3/4 of those hits are counted as unstyled.Still, the Zerker has way better overall damage and can get nice Damagespikes aswell (the 3rd backstyle can easily get 600 Damage). So i can´t rly agree that Sav is way stronger than Zerker.

Maybe you all should take a look at this ominous DMG-thread. Savages clearly deal more damage than Zerk. And btw Islana, i dont think - at least on uth its somehow bugged - that the savages multi hits are counted as unstyled, cause they nearly dont miss at all.

savage has self buffs, in group, zerk is buffed too and in rvr you can't count a lot on your position styles and chains. if you look at the same DMG-thread you'll see that wizard realy overdamage cabalist... that doesnt show anything. (except maybe that savage is better for leveling)

True, the Sav outdamages the Zerker there, but if you look at those logs sable and baldur both had quite "lucky" samples with tons of crits and multi hits. And i would like to see how things look when both have the same buffs up and hit at targets that actually have stats and SC (-35% chance to hit with claws should make a huge difference)
