Maybe this source could finally help us to play daoc on linux

Thanks all, I changed laptops (linux again) and the video card's driver was not working for a while. It seems that linux gives me nothing more than a bunch of problems. Still better than Windows for me though. I'll try skipping that patch. Thanks for the virtual desktop pointer.

I tried few times to make daoc run on linux but I can't find in the web the dolloader
only daocportal is aviable. I tried to copy the dolloader from a daocportal subdirectory but I really doubt it could work ^
Can anyone give me a link or update the damned dolloader files? When I used it long time ago I remind it was more than a .exe |

You just need the dolloader that is in the installation folder of the daocportal.
For example, place it into de daoc instalation, creat a batch file(will contain the parameter to the dolloader) and inside just write the following line : @DOLLoader game.dll 89.238.64.166 10300 account password or @DOLLoader /path/game.dll 89.238.64.166 10300 account password if it's not in the same folder. |

I put the game folder in
.../.wine/drive_c/Programmi/ and I can't start from dolloader.exe from the folder, but I can start from terminal using wine dolloader.exe labirinth/game.dll ip, etc.... but wine just opens a black window and an error with Could not fint Camelot components file Check to make sure you are running the game from the installation directory. I guess it's a problem of path again^ |
