mid kingdon?

at simple view all seems more easy in midgard than others realms, the same ppl who plays on midgard say dont need a good setup we play all free together inviting all ppl who is logging at the moment in agramon.. but hibernia or albion needs good setup to combat them.

I remember times were Mids where the underdogs and Albs owned the
battlefield. Same for the Hibs. And everytime you could find Threads like this one in this forum. What happend each time? mids went Alb, Albs went Hib, Hibs came Mid ect. Its just a matter of mentality the ppl have atm. Every realm has very skilled players ,and these should be the ones to invite the newbies into the rvr groups and encurage them to join in Agra. so they can learn and follow the footsteps instead of resignating and start the next braemar char. We do exactly that and thats why we end up with adders lots of times. Just like Phil wrote you just give everyone a chance to join in. If all realms would do that, there would be a lot more ppl in Agra soon. So many ppl reach lvl 50, get full sc´d and then sit in Agra and dont get invitet cause grps are full, or just no invite cause the rr doesnt fit or not enough enemies bla... Then in broad that no add flame. After a while they just dissapear. No wonder... a little off topic but thats the root of this in my opinion |

when there is a zerg outside ( zerg can be fg at 11AM) the usual way to think on alb is " let them roam alone in agra, they'll have fun with keeps"
and i agree with that. if enemies feel good if they outnumber you without any challenge, if they find fun in it... don't try to compete with random weak group and give them free RPs. maybe one day, they'll understand.

maybe one day some people realize they can fight the zerg with zerg instead of logging out

That happened to me on hibernia with my 2characters lvl 50. always the same ppl grp, the same guilds, and ihad to wait all day in agramon for something ,what was my solution?? i moved to albion to start a new guild with my guildsfriends, new characters, new all... we hope get rr and could fight good in agramon. But if albion doesn't manage to work, I will think of leaving DaOC. I couldnt play in midgard here. |

Metolman that's no the fault of the server and not a question of balancing.
=> Midgard needs a more or less good setup aswell. Without a shaman a fg is senseless - but since Midgard has only Shamans & Skalds there is no Problem to find one XD (I guess every lvl 50 Mid is able to log a sced lvl 50 shaman and if not they have a lvl 50 skald ^^) Elwin: Not long ago the 2 big alliances had groups together but there are some things that made it impossible: 1. Growing number of lvl 50 players: You will first invite your allymates - and after doing so the group is full. 2. Some players do not like each other and they are in the opposite alliance and so the fronts hardened more. (Some only like to have flame and thats why they wont reach one opinion) But Still they are players that a kinda "neutral". |

I understand this line of thinking heh. If you get right down to it, that is actually part of my proposals. Giving incentives to people to remain logged in, even while outnumbered, and penalizing (in some manner) those who are playing in an obvious numerical superior side in the zone would be a way to address this. |
|
the problem is when new ppl join the server and cant play in rvr with 50. u want play always with the same ppl?? when this ppl dont play ,so what ? i could log my old 50 ? O_o

Well getting your realm (or friends) organized isnt something the staff should be expectedcan to do. What the staff could do however is offer incentives for players to remain in an rvr zone even if there are "zergs" rude players and a lack of "organized" groups. That would be the point i have been making across several of these discussion. |

I once had an idea which i posted some time ago in an other thread. In this manner I had especially Albion in mind.
My idea was to (ab)use the weekly dragonraids to gather a lot of people and bring them to agramon afterwards. The problem with it was the capability of the old server which couldnt handle a dragonraid properly...and my idea would need 2-3 dragonraids at nearly same time. I know that in alb there are many people to participate on raids but they never or at least rarely go agramon. But if the dragonraidzergs would fight for the keeps in Agramon it would be weekly RvR Event with equal chances for all Realms. I know for myself that it is sometimes difficult to build up zergs, especially when the "pro"gamers tend to yell at those people or just log off when needed and leaving a gap in the army and letting down their own realm. But there are enough chances in agramon to make 8 vs 8...atm its the same kind of RvR everyday. So why not raid dragon 1-2 times a week and make RvR become real RvR time by time...even if the zergs are fighting in agramon there are still enough chances for the 8vs8 people to do their own way. If there are adder plz accept it for at least one day...there are enough chances for 8 vs 8...let those who prefer an other way have their fun two sometimes. I for myself, as some people know, have no interested in raiding hib dragon, but dragonraid brings many people together to work together...the perfect chance to make some RvR TOGETHER instead of AGAINST each other. |

seems like you thought long time to find an useful reply^^

Or make something that ppl come to agra to raid enemies.
I dunno what, but something that makes the RvR more special... Or maybe a buff that people have if the other realm is zerging... Or make it easier to get good item without doing too much PvE, so that there are more people in Agra. For example you could try to make that everything has to be paid with bps. A new player would start with some bps to buy new cloths, etc and later the player has to go to BGs to "farm" his money. Just some suggestions. |

i think his "aha" was more constructiv than your post holzi... come on be serious... there are not enough free RPs in DF? you want them to join agramon? when a bunch of newbies arrive in agramon you can be sure than everyplayers that want RPs will login other realms. so it'll be mass level 40+ players vs some groups of progamers 50... in what realm are the newbies? and in what realm all the players that fed up with nebies rerolled...?

seems like you didnt get my point...what use would it be for a "progamer" to log on other realm if both sides are zerging?
