i think with fair, most of people understand fair with realm mates...

if you are alb and see mid/hib fight, you won't let them finish peacefully and you'll take advantage from the situation.

if you see alb/hib fight that is fair, you won't add otherway hib could leave.

if you see 8 hibs ganking 3 albs, you will join the fight and help your realm mates.

if you see free solo RPs , you'll kill him...

you did nothing wrong for your realm and for the fun.

Oh well, 'part of the game', here we go again. Players try to play this '8vs8' way in game, and at times it works. And that is really all there is to it.

The same is true for 'just leveling in DF without getting involved in RvR', 'not getting overrun by FGs while soloing', or 'getting SC for free'. It all can and occasionally does happen in game, and so in a certain way it all is 'part of the game'. But in no case does that mean that you have any right to expect to be able to play like that whenever you want.

In DAoC, you cannot play 8vs8. What you can do is play 8vsX, where X includes everything the enemy realms will throw at you, and additionally any members of your realm that interfere in your fights in a way that you don't like. Because THAT is how DAoC is DESIGNED to be played.

Sure, wouldn't it be nice if we could all just play the game the way we want to, but for obvious reasons it's not working (would probably be a bit too boring and predictable anyway). This is well accepted for leveling in DF, trying solo RvR, or basing what an SC should cost on what you currently have in your wallet. It's really time for the 8mans to accept that they are nothing special either, and to stop whining and rage-quitting like a noob that got ganked in DF just because they got zerged.

When going into a fight, bring enough players, because what is really hurting lv50 RvR is not bringing enough targets for all the enemies.

I agree with weia, we should accept daoc as it is and not try to enforce minority views on the complete playerbase.

Exactly salbei, i think the same you do, excepting the part with "nice/asshole" (i always dislike non-skilled players ^^ or let's say weakest links).

But there are few of us lets say old school and we know each other, most of the people that are part from your categories are relatively new players, and this topic about the 8v8/adders/imbalance etc will always be, because some players leaves, some new one comes. There will always be a topic opener about this thing.

As a final tought, those that will add will add from now on, those that respect players will do same from now on and eveyone will act as he did before from now on. The only measures that need to be taken is when someone insults someone else about this thing. Rest is senseless.

See ya ingame

good point.
on the other hand there are people that say "red=dead" - those are the people destroying their realm mates AND enemies fun.even if they play just to gain rps - in the long run you would have been far better of with playing a bit more "forseeing".

but you can´t force people to change their habbits. there are always gonna be people like that hurting themselves with that behaviour.****** about it on /broad /irc won´t change a thing. all it does is scare players away.

i love how your guild fell apart after you´ve found out that you guys are a lost case w/o the cover of a zerg
hail to you, honorable grove protector. happy now ?

Fell apart ? What are you talking about ? Only holzemo left which isn't a loss anyway with his bipolar emo attitude, we're leveling on other realms atm simply got tired of noobernia.

Speaking of lost cases, yourself and your guild are a lost case without high RR's abilities, so *shrug*. When I came to Uthgard I was shocked that such high RR players can be so terrible (with a few exceptions). Not just MB but the majority of the high RR folks in all 3 realms.

No no no, you just don't understand... It's mannered to QQ and insult people in broad chat when it's all in the name of HONOUR and VALOR.
The world will look up and shout "Save us!"...and I'll whisper "NO U."

No, it's as senseless as this whole discussion.

@Panachier: The Picture is a Movie Poster from a Movie rated FSK 16. And considering that they can pin it up outside the theater where even 6 month old babies can see it, I highly doubt that any "kids" in this forum will have nightmares from it. Please do me a favor and at least THINK ONCE before you post.
