Maybe you should look up the terms 'prekiting' and 'positioning' and how they relate to DAoC RvR before making such claims ? Having survived many attempts to kill me by purple con enemies in mass RvR situations, I can assure you that 'die, end of story' is definitly not the only possible outcome, and if you don't start to get too careless, it's not even the most likely. Just because you maybe forgot how to do it doesn't mean it can't be done ![]()
Sorry, but learn to read ? Like, the complete post you're replying to ? So you can stop to misquote out of context, forcing a repeat of a argumentation that was pretty much already finished ? Pretty please ? ![]()
And it can definitly be compared to pvm exp where you are standing semi-afk in a corner or stuck to the healer while 1-7 highlevel players are speedkilling mobs either for loot, gold, or even specifically just to level the little newbs. So just like in a regular exp group, the grey is not contributing much. But I've had caplevel players, and not only in Braemar groups, contributing next to nothing too, either through not paying attention, being afk, ot even doing worse than nothing, like using ae-mezzed as mjolnir targets, charging into a perfect mezz with pulsing damage aura, or dotting the assist train, not only failing to cc them like they should have, but also making sure that noone else will be able to in the next 20 seconds. Then you have healing classes in fights where your group isn't taking any damage, standing in the back doing nothing but still getting exp/rps. Or tanks in a standoff fight, hanging back while the casters are using their range. Or what about the part of your party that just stood there mezzed during all of the fight, doing pretty much nothing that a grey couldn't have done just as well ? Unless you can find a way to deny all players without a positive contribution getting RP/exp from the work of their group, it's pretty unreasonable to single out lowlevel players, especially when a well played lowlevel support class can definitly still make a valuable contribution, if the player puts in the necessary effort. When you then factor in that there are obviously so many lowlevels on all sides that people have even started whining about it, the argument falls flat completely, because if there really are so many, then they obviously should have enough targets in their own level range too, which they are definitly able to properly fight against. |

does Weia takes so many words just to confirm he/she is lack of reading skills ??

If someone spent too much time getting kit by a graybie they're retarded, has nothing to do with "prekiting", "positioning" or (the sheer thought of writing this makes me laugh) you having skill. They're simply a braindead noob running after air. Besides if you run as soon as you see people, or hide, how much effort did you put into leeching again ? You had to press the "run forward" key. Borderline buffbotting (provided the leech has buffs). High five mr.literacy o/ I don't know what kinda gimps you "survive against" and brag about, but when I was in braemar on my champion (33-35) not so long ago I had no problem killing anything gray with 1 style. Then again, I guess you're the expert on braemar rvr, I'm just a noob who one shots gray leeches and spends 99% of his rvr time in agramon where kiting is more than just running away from a single person thinking "lulz I evaded him by running away as soon as I saw him, I has skillz, mad skillz". |
|
So you do in fact agree that through careful positioning on the battlefield you can avoid highlevels even trying to attack you, because they'd only get kited ? Thank you for the elaborate explanation why I was right. ![]() And as for my skill ... what would you know about it ? ![]()
Even though you seem to have never heared of it, there's a lot more you can do in DAoC RvR than your two alternatives of either the braindead charge into the battle, or just running away. Once people get a bit more experienced in this game, most of them realize that by actually planning where to move and stand on the battlefield, they can gain great tactical advantages. You'll probably realize it too one day if you try hard enough.
Was that what the voices in your head told you, because that's definitly not comming from my post. Once again: learn to read, learn to qoute.
Ok, let us recap what we were talking about here. No, let's be specific, what YOU were talking about here initially:
So in a mass RvR situation, you'd be the genius chasing after greys staying at the edge of the battle. Or to quote a wise man: you'd be the 'retarded braindead noob running after air'. Was that correct ? Sure, on a champ, with a ranged snare, you'll probably catch and kill them eventually, if they don't manage to cc you, or kite you into an enemy AT, and if you ignore all other real non-grey threats and targets on the battlefield ... yes, YOU definitly wouldn't know about my skill even if I showed you any ![]()
See, your pointless nerdrage is not helping. Calm down, your just rambling mindlessly here. This is completely offtopic and borderline trolling, we were never talking about 1on1 situations at all, and noone has ever claimed kiting is just running away or that running away would have anything to do with skill. Get a grip, and stop making up stuff. You're quickly becomming a case for moderation otherwise. |

Nvm, you're one of those to whom rvr is complicated, no wonder you like braemar that much.

Oh, I like so many thinks about DAoC that much. I still like you too (/hug) ![]() |
|
You won't see much of me, I don't rvr on braemar often because it sucks that much.
