After much time and effort and using the forums I got the launcher to work, but now I've run into another problem I can't seem to find the answer to. DAoC seems to load fine until it comes to connecting to the server. It just says "Connecting to server... Retrying... Retrying... Retrying... Service not Available. Press ESC to exit." Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.

There can be a lot of reasons for that. You can only connect with connect.bat if you use V1.75+. Check tutorials or post your connect.bat contents (xxx your password)

I'm running v. 1.78 of ToA. Also, as a note I do get a DOLLoader warning everytime I run connect.bat that says, "At least one signatue was not found, do you want to try anyway? You might also check for a new loader version or post a support message on the forum. Errorcode: 0 -1" Being that I just set this up tonight I'm running the DOLLoader that is currently under the download section. But as asked, here is also what my connect.bat looks like:

@DOLLoader game.dll 217.71.161.161 10300 1 rebel69dragon XXXXX

Looks like you forgot to change the type identifier behind the port. Its still 1 in your connect string. According to this guide http://uthgard.the-bart.org/modules.php ... opic&t=155 it must be 20.

Also you have a potential other error. You should use a DOLLoader for 1.78 if it still doesnt work. If all options fail you must update to 1.75 on EU servers.

Btw, which server are you trying to connect to? I can't identify your posted IP address (217.71.161.161)...

If you want to play on Uthgard you probably want to change it into 85.214.18.106.

That shouldn't be a problem. Both 1 and 20 are acceptable numbers (if not any number at all...never tried)

Yes the ip is the most propably problem. Always resolve the IP against uthgard.game-server.cc

I am having exactly the same problem using v1.78 of catacombs.Connect.bat command:
@DOLLoader game.dll uthgard.game-server.cc 10300 1 alobar xxxxxxxx .
Also i am getting the same dollloader warning as rebel.Firewall is disabled.The same applies on what ever server iam trying to connect.Any help is welcome,thx in advance.

You have the wrong ip.

Thx,that solved it.I replaced in the command line uthgard.game-server.cc with 81.169.136.116 and it worked.

I've tryed it multiple times, put in the exact ip put the 20 in and everything and still getting service not available what the heck is it not working for me?

Er... why not er... why not using DAoC Portal then? you just select Uthgard from the server list and enter username/password. You would just need to worry with patching to 1.90, as 1.94 is not supported.

for some reason i can still connect to uth from my 1.94 US client, i have both 1.90 EU and 1.94 US client installed for playing live and portal, but they both connect to uth just fine

does uthgard versioncheck look at the running client or the system registry? i dont see why i can connect from both if 1.94US is supposed to be unsupported hehe

You should see some sort of Warning-Dialogue after logging in a Char.

Wir haben die auf Versionen bezogegen Beschränkungen entfernt. Bisher war eine Verbindung zum Uthgard Server nur mit 1.90 möglich, da es zuvor auch Änderungen am Terrain der RvR Gebiete gab. Unglücklicherweise konnten dadurch keine US Versionen zu Uthgard verbinden, da sie in der Version immer vor EU liegen. Es können nun wieder alle Versionen ab 1.90 zu Uthgard verbinden! Es besteht keine Notwendigkeit mehr eine EU 1.90 Version zu verwenden: Ihr könnt ab sofort auch mit US 1.94 verbinden.

Wenn ihr bisher spielen konntet müsst ihr nicht updaten!


Essentially what is written there means, you can connect with ANY Version 1.90+...though GMs and Admins should know this better than me since this is just copied and pasted out of the news...
