![]() i've been having weird lag at my laptop in the last 8 days first: i noticed the second indicator on performance is 80% red square, rest yellow triangle. 2nd: i run defrag and windows utilities, clear of problems there. 3rd: i checked the laptop performance: the game is taking 98% of the resources. i have an AMD thurion(tm) 64 Mobile, Technology ML-34, !.79 GHz, 1 GB nominal RAM, 896 effective RAM, my connection speed is 1GB. edit1: i have ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M im getting lag regardless the zone, even while static and crafting Help please (i remember the GM on PURGA was able to look performance of my old PC) thx in advance Last edited by CalvoHP on Aug 06, 2008 22:34, edited 1 time in total.

- Turn of automatic updates while playing daoc.
- Refrain from using torrents/other peer-to-peer programs. - Scan your laptop with antivirus/antispyware software. - You have integrated graphics card, so you should set all details to min and lower resolution a bit. - Update drivers for your laptop, especially graphics card/soundcard/chipset drivers - You also say that "game is taking 98% of windows resources". Try increasing ram size for your laptop (memory is pretty cheap nowadays). - Try to close all non-essential programs during gameplay (especially programs like yahoo widgets, windowblinds, and other "memory heavy" programs) - As last step, try to disable your antivirus software and see if it affects performance If that doesn't help, and youre pretty sure game worked properly before, a clean windows install should help. |

im 90% sure its memory problem - too much programs open while playing daoc, too few memory. still if nothing helps try posting dxdiag.txt file, and we'll have some more suggestions ![]() To generate DxDiag.txt - Windows XP - 1. Start->Run 2. Type "dxdiag" 3. Click on save all information and save dxdiag file on desktop for example - Windows Vista - 1. Start->All Programs->Accessories->Run 2. Type "dxdiag" 3. Click on save all information and save dxdiag file on desktop for example |
