50iger rvr?
|
Most of the players just do bg because there is simply NOTHING in agramon. 90% of the daily players in Braemar has a lvl 50 character. And they simply play there, because there is nothing in agramon ![]() And its logical. If everybody is in Braemar, there is nobody in agramon. So there was an idea to delete all Battlegrounds or something like this. This would give them more time to lvl. Its logical when they are in BG's they wont get lvl 50, and i know it - thats a very hard way on uthgard. But when they reach level 50, they'll wish more action in Big RvR. I dont want to get some enemies on this forum ![]() aylwynn warden

When have you been in agramon last time? There is always inc. Maybe you mean that there is sometimes just too many at once. |
|
Well, when you have fg alb, fg mid and 0 hib in agramon, it's like if there's nothing because there's just no chance to have fun. And at the same time you'll have 20 people in braemar/wilton/thid ...
I am assuming direct control.

maybe is it due to the hib mind at the moment that rvr is zerg and nothing else...
we have fun on alb versius mid and sometimes some hibs that agree with fair fights.

Panach:D Should I remind you how you yesterday claimed our keep? No hibs in Agra. Only a few mids in Agra. 10 Albs... Hello? And it was your guild who claimed so try to tell me we're wrong. |
|
Hey Hibs have fun too.... i will even claim that hibs have more fun in rvr atm then they had ever had. In many ways a zerg makes room for new players to come to aggramon and personally I like this.
In rvr there are no fair fights, really... daoc isn't designed to have fair fights. Only in very special conditions you can make groups in a way that they prolly fight a long time before the slightly stronger one wins. But that means that you have to be very selective. This means that lots of players are not involved who want to be involved. It means a lock on 50 rvr. Zerg is the way to go. Zerg means you run solo or duo in the beginning and then you begin to add players to the group if you meet a bigger(or stronger) group and in the end you can have major battles if everyone brings new people..and you get threads in this forum saying how much fun they have had. So I conclude with the notion that rvr should be fun for lots of people and zerg can make that happen. Greets Taz ![]() |

@cespx.
one more time we agree that's so strange. in my last post i said we usually have fun in agra with mids and hibs are 0 or zerging... so we were having fun with mids and there were 0 hibs and 10 enemies = fg + 2 stealthers? or what else... just to say omg they zerg us.

I definitely agree that point of view... this so rare to see someone here saying RvR is not only made for fixed groups... and zerg (or what i personally call Realm versus Realm) is the more natural way to play DAoC... On live, in the past, relic assault involve about 300 players sometimes... that is the way Mythic made the game, at least i think so. |
|
Well, when we are 2 groups of 6 - 7 on one realm and the enemies are only 6, what's the point to zerg/add everything ? It's no fun for us because we can win even if we are half afk, and no fun for the ones who are zerged.

Of course. But this si the game. If you want to avoid that, there are two options. Ask others people to not come to RvR to let you play 8 vs 8... which is very nice for all other players (sic...) or pull more people to come to RvR to equilibrate more and more the fights. 12 vs 8 is not fair, but 35 vs 30 will not be a problem, so more players will go RvR less there will be problems. But of course, that means a different game, and fixed groups will not keep their private aera to get private fun... What do you prefer, staying that way, with no many players and complaining about no ones in Agra or trying to give everyone, even noobs (i'm a noob !) to come and play ? |

@Hedra : I forgot something about what you said
![]() A few years ago, on Ys (i guess you know that live server) we were on Hib and did fight against a fixed team called Leviathan (from Midgard) they kicked 3 full groups more or less easily every time... so, i think playing 8 vs 12 is still possible, especially if the 8 are fixed team using Team Speak and playing 3 hours a day together, at least, i hope so ![]() |

I see another solution: running in seperated groups and try to have fights on your own side ^^ And of course on live there were zergs, relic raids etc, but there has always been players who want to play in group too... We have a different point of view of the game, there's no problem for me, but I understand why albs complain when hibs group add every fight (and that's boring for me as well). By the way I know the team Leviathan (I saw them in action too) and I don't think many people on this server are close to the skill/teamplay they had ![]() I am assuming direct control.

I do not think this is just a question of point of view. This is quite important for Uthgard development. We can not say to people : "hey come to Uthgard, this is a Classic RvR DAoC shard very nice and you will have fun" and 50 levels later : "Hey do not come to RvR now because we are already one full group per realm playing, so be nice and let us play quietly". I understand you prefer play with your team 8 vs 8 (me too by the way) but you can not forbid others people to play when they want to, Uthgard is not just a 8 vs 8 or 12 vs 12 RvR server, this a RVR server. I can not imagine a few people ruling the whole RvR because they are more skilled or more present or more anything you want... At least on battlegrounds, this is not the case, and maybe this is one of the reason many people prefer play there. It's a pity for Uthgard, RvR might be much much more fun. |

What's the point of playing on the same side then ? |
