Mainly I'm looking for constructive feedback and some opinions. My question is, are nature Druids and smite Clerics actually useful in the pvp scene and are they ever wanted. I know that both primarily play a healing role for their realms but I have known of some that go with their offensive specs.

nature druids are very nice for solo kills or small groups, in FG only guildies would play along :P

I have the same opinion. Smite clerics and nature druids could be used well in 1 vs 1 as tank/heal/rangedd hybrids, but they will run oop in few seconds in big size group fights.
Also, it's enough a purge2 to kill them even with istant mezz/root (of course I didn't count the spreadheal bug)

I wanted to try it out and see how they were. However if they're going to be more trouble to myself and others maybe I should just choose something else.

Last time when you use moc1 you could use the full heal power of spreadheal, didn't see any fix note so I guess it's still so.

Can't comment on smite clerics since I've never played alb.

Nature druids in theory can be great in combination with one or two nurture druids. His (insta) AE root is a nice tool in this world of devastating assist trains. Your pet (when it gets the stun ability here) is also a nice utility. Your DoT is nice for soloing but doesn't really make a difference in group RvR. Obviously you'll be an important healer aswell because you can spec more regrowth than a nurture druid.

So, yes a nature druid is useful although the nature line lacks a bit in utility.
Someone in your group will have to do with pbaoe specs though cause one nurt druid doesn't have enough conc to buff a whole group.

I cant really say anything about smite cleri but i hardly recomend nature druid on Uthgard. He's useless in grp without 2 other dudus cause of no spec buffs. He is useless even with 3 dudus in grp cause of not working pets. He's useless because he has nothing to add but ae root which is also useless:D

Why would you hardly recommend something that's useless ?

Nature Druids ^^

I realy do love playing my druid in live and she was nature spec.

But you need 2 Healing druids first, bard, and warden for good RvR set up and that leaves the 3rd druid not much room to play with a good 8 Man group...

BUT...

Nature druids Help alot with some basic CC. Insta Roots and even a good Area Root can save your Main CCers ( bard ) Butt.

also a Nice area Root can stop those nasty casters and rupt them untill your bard can take over.

Pet well its not working on uthgard yet. so you missing out on the Pet Stun. Set your Pet on there Healer/caster then that person is pretty much out of the Fight unless some one peals for them. Stuning pet works wonders :+) ( But Even with out Stun the pet does a good job rupting. )

Dots. lol dont use them ^^ if you see that you can /assist the Main tank use it on them But if you Dot here and there,You will Kill Any CC the bard might try to do. it might be Fun for Keep seiges But for 8man its a abilty you will rarely use. ( you will use a Root For Rupting, has a better casting time)

and so now it depends if you spec Tri spec or regrwoth/nurture
with Druids I always recomend going 23+ regrow it gives you 2 insta heals.

and that will leave you with Crapy but useful spec buffs If Needed. ( back back up buffs O.o )

I love battle druids there a very hard but fun class to play. but sadly they only ever shine in small groups. and most will look away in 8 man groups.

I hope that helps alittle ^^.

io hav a smite cler... it's only usegull to lvl..; in rvr you can't do a lot, lousy buffs and heals, and smite has crappy range...

dunno when smite got nerfed... just sad it was pre 1.80..
