Which is a bit beside the point really. RR2 is pretty much enough already to go to Agramon, IF that is where you want to play.
The 4l9 suggestion only makes sense if you want to give those that previously didn't plan to do lv50 RvR a reason to do it anyway, at least for a while, in the hope that some of them will stick around.

Imho horse paths are not a good idea, if distances are high why not just reduce them ? just move crau / bled / beno into agra the same way you moved fensalir and make them telekeeps. Agra with 1 ck / 3 tk / 3 mgt would be kind of an advanced BG. Nowadays there isn't more people in the 50 rvr than in braemar / wilt or Thid so why the 50 zone has 4 times more keeps and be 3 times larger ?

Moving 3 keeps would probably a big amount of work but keeping so many meeting points (6 milegates / 3 keeps... it's insane for something like 3 groups in the zone !) in agra and keeping such a large zone it's end game for the lvl 50 rvr in the long term.

If I remember right, this was an idea, but problem was, where to put keeps, Agramon's landscape is not really nice for placing keeps.

Omg~~ I can survive 49lvl bg although i dont like it. But rr4l9 cap?? You could delete all 50s rvr zones as well.

Weia, the main reason Thid was implemented at all,was that there where many whiners claiming that lvl 50 RvR was unplayable with RR2.
Thats why staff decided to give them the possibility to reach RR4 before they have to enter Agramon,so my argumentation is right on the point ;)That things don´t work out like this and ppl rather lvl 3 chars to 46 and RR4 then 1 to 50 to participate in Agra is another story.

just checked. 47/RR4 means -> no access to thid.

Would be nice to have a check if character is (49 & RR4)? instead of RR4? or 49?

My theurgs has to stay in Agramon the way it is now xD

Increasing levelrange in BG's ( especially thid ) is definitly a step ahead.
And its totally consistent with removing the zone-bonus ( protecting levlers from getting farmed ). I dont understand, why all the high RR guys want to force lowlevel guys in Agramon. Its just cheap RP's. And if they like to go Agramon they still can. Remember u want "challenging" RvR and not "greykilling"^^. I played my chars up from level ~43 also in emain - so i pretty know whats possible and what's not.

ps i really would like to have my theurg back in thid^^

rr4 = no thid.thats ok.. with rr4 u have enough rr to compete with some at least in agramon..some dont even got to rr3 until agra before.

yeah, entering agramon with rr4 is in my opinion ok.
rr4l9 would keep chars too long in thid.

I think its discussable to let level 46-48 chars with R4L0 enter Thidranki until they reach Level 49. BUT the rpgain would be disabled since we want you to leave Thidranki with RR4, and not one point more. So you could take part in Thidranki fights but with no further rp gains and are excluded when you reach 49.

I remember leveling by RvR could be nice too. 500% XP per player kill. So at least you have RvR fun while leveling your char even when you dont get any RP.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

Ok, so I don't have the historical background knowledge obviously about all the questionable decisions and faulty reasoning of the server administration (*runs and hides*) :P

Doesn't change the fact that you don't need any kind of minimum realmrank at all to RvR, especially on a Server like Uthgard, and thus the question 'what rr is enough to go to Agramon' is completely irrelevant in deciding on a levelcap for Thidranki.

The default measure for Uthgard is obviously being 'lifelike', which would mean lv49cap = rr4l9, lv35cap = rr2l5, lv24cap = 1l5. Of course, there are probably good reasons to adjust this to the specific server situation, but that only means there is even less reason to make up silly phantasy arguments.

The reason not to raise the Thidranki rr cap is that Uthgard doesn't have the population to support too many different RvR Zones. So the attempt to solve this is trying to force players into lv50 RvR earlier than they normally should.

Of course this will solve nothing, since realmrank has hardly anything to do with not joining lv50 RvR anyway. It has more to do with the fact that there is hardly any RvR at all, only 8vs8, and in order to start RvR, you have to do so not only without any support of, but even against the opposition of the established 8vs8 community.

Then when someone gets a small zerg going and all the enemy 8mans as well as your own realm's fanatics log off, that's completely understandable and ok. If however players that don't like the obsessive 8vs8 cult want to stay out of it and prefer the BGs for that reason, they are just being mean to the high RRs and hurting the server

Face it, trying to brute force someone to play a game he doesn't like by taking away all the toys he prefers will only work on hardcore gaming addicts, and those are all in lv50 'RvR' already anyway. The only thing that will work is making lv50 RvR more attractive. Especially those BG players that are already trying to participate in lv50 RvR besides their BG activities, will then freely make the transition, and actually stay in Lv50 RvR too. Continue to treat them as 2nd rate players who count for nothing and are little more than a disposable recource to entertain your 'regulars', and you'll just ruin the good aspects you still have for no gain in return.

The reason why your wanted realmcaps will not be introduced can be found
within the RP/kill formula. On live servers where you got your precious 4l9
cap for CathalValley additional RP are given for Masterlevels and Champion
levels which means that the RPgain is by far higher than on Uthgard.

We have no Masterlevels and no Championlevels = no 4L9 cap. Thanks for
your attention

Ok, if we are to split hairs, Classic Servers had no master levels either, and still got the same rr cap :). But I already agreed that it makes sense to have Uthgard specific RR caps. A too high rr cap can be just as bad as a too low one - to illustrate the point, just imagine rr8 assassins camping Thidranki keep and bridges.

Even at 4l9, that's stuff like purge3, moc3 or viper3 plus some more ras, which could just as well already be too much for some newcomers. There's a lot of room for discussion, but the 'nerf everything that doesn't conform to my idea of fun' attitude displayed by some is hardly tolerable anymore.
