Hello Midgard!
Some of you may know the good old, but unsupported item database that Metty once made. I took it and changed some things to make it more reliable for midgard.

Changes:
- removed tons of false Items
- added Tajendi cloaks
- added legendary weapons
- added the most important Beliathan and Dommel items
- added Epic-Armor for Bersi, Shamy, Bony so far

Here is the file:
[Edit: Link removed] (rightclick-> save target as) [Last Change: 25.March08]
To use it, you need Moras 1.75 from Sourceforge. Dont take a newer version cause its not compatible with the xml file.
Just replace the items.xml file in the Moras folder with the new one and restart Moras.

Please consider, this file is only helpful for Midgard templates! Better dont try to use it for Alb/Hib.
Also, there can be errors in the file. So before you make the sc-jewels, check if all used jewlery have the same stats ingame as they have on moras.
Some stats get changed cause they were not correctly implemented, so if you find something, please post it in this thread, so I can fix it!
Also, if there are Items missing, please tell me so I can implement them and update the file! And I think there will still be a lot items missing in the file.

I hope Staff wont delete this topic as they always did the last times when players posted a link of the items.xml. But you know it, Moras is a great tool to build a template, and most of the old uth players use it anyways with mettys old items.xml modded by themselves. If you forbid spreading that file, this is a little problem for the old players, but a big one for the newer. You just cant make a good temp (at least not far as easily) without moras and the uthgard item db. So lets give the newer players a possibility to catch up to the old.
Also this file will bring more mid players to unusual places, where they maybe have never been, and I think thats good. If noone knows about the existance of an item, nobody will try to get it!

I think yes. Moras 1.73-1.75 should make no problems, only the newer ones with V 2.0+ dont work good with the db.

Hmm, all these items are implemented with stats before patch 1.89?

jo sad :(
i think it was a good thing from Metty do do this db for us back then.
well , the file will be available to anyone who wants it anyways.
and i really dont get it ,why ppl shouldnt be able to plan their templates.
I mean they do that on live too with allakhazam and since we dont have everything implemented this would have been uthgard's allakhazam so whats wrong with that?

No promises, but I'm gonna ask why the link was removed.

The funny thing is, as esme said: A player who wants that file will never have any problems to get it, because almost every long time uthgard player has one.

The only player affected by the "link witch hunt" that is done here, are the newbies which is quite amusing because in the last months i read quite some times that it was one of the uthgard main goals to give new uth players fair chances...

Well...

Sure, uthgard does not need to support the database, no one said that, but no one understands why there is a "the link is evil and illegal" policy.
I certainly don't and i even didn't when i was moderator in the forums (and had to close such topics myself).
There is a huge difference between not supporting a database and actively finghting and deleting any link to it.

I did expect two possibilities:
- thread gets deleted
- thread gets sticky like the alb thread

...I didnt expect that just the link gets deleted ^^ So lets see whats the result of staffs discussion. I'll continue working on the file no matter whats the result of staffs decision. Staff can only affect the number of players that profit of the file.

Well, I updated the file with all these things Esme mentioned except:

- Blood-Stained Tiara
Stats before patch 1.89:
Magical Bonuses:
Body Resist: -10%
Power: 5 pts
Piety: 15 pts
Hits: 30 pts
I dont believe these stats are the same on Uth.

- Blue and Yellow Diamond Staff
Not sure about stats on Uth, never seen one. I have Black and Red Staff myself, so these are implemented correctly.

After discussing the topic here comes the reason why the link was deleted.
Your database is based upon Mettys DB which was a straight copy
of our itemdatabase meaning it is/was 100% correct. Databases based
upon Mettys DB will not be supported and links to them will be deleted.
Allowed on the other hand would be to use an official MoraDB file and to
modify it to fit Uthgards drops. So, to keep it short:

- databases based on Mettys old DB => will be deleted
- own created databases or based upon official MoraDB => will be supported
