what about making a forum especially for polls, and make the actual poll sticky...
And whats the sense of a poll, when all changes are already planned ?
my suggestion is: make the vote for a longer time sticky in seperate forum, where its better to find for all, then give this vote a fixed time befor it ends.
and at the end make the changes.
there are many votes and it is just confusing and irritating for other players.... this makes the vote incredulous and falsifies the result
when u want a serious vote then make it this way...

Why not both?
Votes for Old Emain and Agramon are nearly equal.
So there could be a RvR-Zone-Change all 2 weeks to come to a compromise for both sides.

See y,

Renti

I like Rentis proposal especially because i already called the idea of rotating RvR zones already a long time ago^^.

If a RvR zone is already done why should we abolish it permanently when we are tired of it currently?

Just keep it and change the teleport to these areas maybe every 4 weeks.
so we could use 4 weeks agramon while lets say old emain is already in game but you can not get there at this time. Then after 4 weeks a gm just needs to activate the porter to emain and deactivate the port to agramon , shouldnt be so much work if these zones are already done of course. I think RvR will be more lively if we could get a system like that, cause even if the new zone is really great, after some time u get bored again.

Agree with Argil, the votes are nearly 50%/50% this pool can be a win for everione we can play Agramon for a months/weeks and Old emain for a moths/weeks but thinking that a RvR zone need time to be played correctly.

Das RvR in der jetztigen Zone war gestern und vorgestern eigentlich genial. Vielleicht sollte man die Leute mit etwas ähnlichem weiterhin ins RvR ziehen, bis die Leute von selbst kommen.

MfG

Duke

EDIT:
sorry for posting in german

RvR like Eastereggevent was great - if it is like that, no need of changing zone

Duke said , easter egg event brings a lot of people to Agramon and it was great RvR.Maybe similar things should bring all the time players to this zone until they come from themselves.

I'd change my vote to old emain, ye sI thought it was like in the past as nestrel told. Didn't take care to read while I had no time really. Since I did, I told myself woudl be great. Will the new keep system will be implemtend through this zone too? or just 1 castle or I don't know?

Well people tend to think that OF emain is as large that agramon but in fact the size of the map doesn't really matter. The point is key areas in a RVR map. Agramon has too many possible way points (2x3 frontier walls + a huge wasteland in the middle) so solos and groups can for example go to the same point but without meeting. OF emain macha only has 2 gates where the flow of players are concentrated which will make encounters way more frequent.

But I didn't understand how the developers were going to implement the hibernian access, will they have to cross their home rvr zones to go to emain like it was in OF or will there be a new tk ?

Of course there is the problem of gate camping with OF emain but if it's the cost for more action in lvl 50 rvr zone I think that it's worth the shot, isn't it ?

So. Some ppl asked for the Cathal Valley Map as rvr zone. http://tekener.com/cgi-bin/maps?zone=165&lang=en

for me it seems to be balanced (at least nearly)..but..is the keep on the right side, middle of the screen the only one that is there? how many towers?

for me it looks good and i would prefer to restart the vote and add cathal valley. if this map is still supported by daoc. if not.. dunno. agramon allone seems to be ok too. and the map is a bit bigger,so everyone can do what he likes.
