not even an alb but agree with monty to..
need to make people stay.. and not talking about the elders here |
|
As you can see, Albion is able to have equal amounts of players in rvr as other realms. Sometimes more, sometimes less. You are exaggerating a little bit, aren't you? In my opinion it's more a question of motivation. You don't need a cap-template to do rvr and please be realistic: How many enemies attack with heat as damagetype on one evening? Even if there are some, you still have heat resistance (except from the case of 4 used bracers) and resistance buff from friars. It may be uncomfortabke, but it is not impossible. |

i'm not talking abouth the bracer here, i'm talking about stuff that has been reported for years, the feeling we have that worldbuild is beeing neglected in favour of the rvr fixing..
80% of the players are building and leveling a char, in a world where most of the gigh lvl mobs drop stuff that can't be salvaged, so they have a hard time to get money for crafting and buying the thinghs they need to be able to compete in rvr when they get 50, that's one of the reasons a lot of the new players never make it to lvl 50, the loose the fun factor in the game an go play elswhere... little things that could make the game a lot better, don't forget, if your goal is better rvr, make people stay long enough to get there, don't count on the diehard rvr players we have now, they are a minority thinking they rule the server... if i see how many good new players stop the game, (and i see them leave every day), all i can say: fix stuff so new players stay and lvl..... and i think there is your answer to good rvr in the long run... |
|
full agree with this, why not taking care about the most players here, not only about these handful of hardcore rvr player |
|
So what are these little things you're talking about? I only know about the salvaging problem. |

this is indeed one of those little things, some more... housing zone unfinished, quests like the bracer one not implemented, camelot bugged atm, worldbuilders changing mobs, droprates and aggrorange withouth any form of information towards players, like the horse that where implemented over a year ago, we still wait on stuff to dress em up, the champoin horses would follow, but didn't.. and i'm sure other players will come up with some more stuff that makes new players think that uth is not working as good as intended... .............. |

You just have to donate hmm ~50,000$/€/whatever and we are able to hire
some more developers, worldbuildGMs, etc. I hope you received the more or less ironic message of my letters. Fact is that we have a hand full of developers who are experts in certain specific domains who currently are involved in... -> revamping the revamped rvr-zone -> finding out what causes the "NPCs not loaded" bug -> discussion on several topics Beneath these they still work on their "expert domain" like Baldrug for example is trying to figure out siege-machinery bugs or Blue who is still busy running bunchloads of pet-tests on the live servers. While the DEVs are trying to assure a mostly bugfree gameplay the gamemasters are occupied with... -> zone overhauls -> daily support -> buffbot/rulebreaker headhunting -> discussion on several topics So, maybe you can imagine that is kind of contraproductive to push down our encouragement to work for your fun within the game. Please keep these things in mind! We are trying our best, but even Devs and GMs sometimes have to eat, sleep and work in RL. We are doing our best, but sadly to say...we are no djinnies ![]() However, a possible bracer compensation might come via your requested quest or probably in Tajendi 2. Haldan |

The housing zone is really not the task with the highest priority and is no exclusive Albion issue.
As I already mentioned, we're not yet able to to that.
We're working on that. A problem with that bug is that Blue is away for one week, who was investigating that bug. But I'm sure the rest of the dev. team can solve the problem.
That is not true. Just take a look into the changelog.
We are talking about the horses in the staff and the chances are good for them to be implemented as compensation for some teleporters. Haldan wrote a good summary of the current processes. Thanks ![]() |

Sry Nayru, but in that case you are 100% wrong. There have never been any informations about mob changes oder droprates changes in the changelog (maybe one or two exceptions). Those changes come quiet with the next reboot and all of a sudden you realize that somthing is different now. I know you do not want to post every single change the staff does in the changelog and i understand and accept your reasons for that. But then do not tell us that everything is written there. Kronos btw: Still waiting for an answer in my pygmy-goblin topic - about a recent drop rate nerf. |

This spot was definitifely worth for farmin in the past, and from 1 day to another it was nerved without any comments, thats true. and it was the only spot worth farming in alb |
|
some changes not mentioned in changelog are:
cornwall drakes attack speed augmented, all of a suudon they hit allmost twice as fast as before, all mobs at syster blight turned agrro withouth warning, their lvl got augmented and the got far far harder to kil, dartmoore giants droprate on armor and weapon drops got changed drasticly, teleamons augmented aggro range, corwall giants changed form neutral to aggro, same thing with the mutch discussed Kez thing, 6 months ago he could be killed solo, hard but it was possible, the only thing worth farming was that damn bracer, rest of his drops are bugged, but still the spot was changed, made a lot harder.. same with moran, only good drop is cloak of earth, rest is bugged... i used to kill moran solo, then we needed to be 2 or 3 to kill him, cloak droprate is far less then before, now we need 4 or 5 lvl 50 chars tokill him, but still all his drops are bugged and the last two moths we killed him at least 50 times, and no cloak has been dropped... i understand that you do all this in your own free time, and that was what i wanted to say in my initial post... stop spending all your time keeping a bunch of high lvl high rr players happy, cause they got high lvl and high rr when things where easy mode on uth, and now they try to force you to form your server the way they want, all the things i posted are far more important to the players that will make uth in the future... al they want is fresh meat in rvr, well, the fresh meat needs months on uth to lvl up and get strong enough to get into agramon, the way the server is now, most of em quit before the can be harvested by the elite bunch... so i just want to say, or you keep the elite bunch happy and go on with them, or you let them whine for a while and make uth good enough so we stop loosing all those players we loose atm... i know you do all you can, all i want to say is: look into the future, take care of the baby's, cause they are the grown ups of the future.. ok, rvr is important, but most of us have the feeling it's only important for a minority, cause a lot of us feel neglected while growing up... player think gm's are making it harder to get strong, to get good gear and money, to get lvl 50... and then theysee gm's put loads of time to keep the elite happy.... changing BG, making polls to change it again.. and the things making live hard for levelers don't get fixed, no, they are made even harder .... that's what i wanted to say... that doesn't mean i don't understand gm's and worldbuilders, i respect you guy's a lot for what you do, i just want to ask to think abouth what is important, keeping some elite players happy, or make uth nice to play and lvl, and keep the new guy's on uth till they are 50 and get into the rvr scene... |

awesome post monty!

full agree
fulll agree finally the most posts from the "wannabe elite" have much priority, the posts from the most others were ignored or will be taken to a looong waiting list of changes...... but if such a player is whining, the stuff reacts very quick.... thats not fair and make this server like they want...... sorry for this , but the best example was the rr5 from jonty, its not livelike but this change was made uncomplicated and quick.... cause of massive whining. a bit offtopic now.... but therefor a lot of chars WAITING for a positive fix: e.g friar e.g. Reaver and so on.... and this changes are important and livelike! Mhm, very good arguments.
I really do understand what you mean. But right now, we have got many bugs in high rvr (lords, towers, ramms and so on). In my opinion, not to make the pvm'lers down I like pvming sometimes even more than doing rvr, the current bugs in high rvr must be fixed as fast as we can. And as soon as this has finished I will have a look at this post again and I think we will all try to get those problems solved. I would say the community keeps this server alive and we have to make the people feeling comfortable here. All I wanted to say right now is again that we unfortunately can not split ourselves into more persons as we are. We really do our best to take care of our community but at last we are also human beings and even forget some things in some time. That might be some comments on the changelog which might be really very important for all of you! On the other hand you might understand that if you are changing, or better said working the whole day right here and typing in lots of commands deeply into the night time, the only thing you want to do is: go to bed. ![]() That is everything I wanted to say right now. I can understand your frustration, of course but please do not forget that we can not do more as we do right now. Let us first end our rvr task and then see what is coming up next. ![]() |

i would suggest to set the rvr xp/cap to much more than 500%, so people will recognize how much worth this bonus is and bgs should get populated grps recognizing that the xp they are gaining from rvr is similar to the xp from pvm might chose rvr. (mob spots in agramon would be necessary but without general xp bonus) by getting more ppl into rvr u can leave 3zones + agra and the other bgs should get more populated aswell. just a suggestion
