question about adding
|
can anyone be jailed for adding?
|
|
for leveling yes i think, if you callgm and he has a look at the situation and the guys need to be jailed.
in rvr it's much more hard... you don't really know who add who, if the guy needed help, and the gm should be present at the moment that happens and there should really be an obvious problem... and i am not even sure it s forbiden... but anyway if you add leech and so on, you ll get problems with the community i think

Hopefully you mean fights against Mobs and not RvR. I am fed of "adding". Mythic has not designed DAoC for 8vs8 Counterstrike gameplay. Realm versus Realm is not meant to take place in balanced group fights, but in epic battles with hundreds of players. If you like to, you can say: Mythic wanted RvR as zerg RvR.
As many players love to run around in their group, with the only interest of gaining realmpoints, instead of fighting for keeps, of course it is ok to do so. But tell me, why should we jail someone for simply doing what this game is designed for? |
|
I meant RvR. I agree with you. Im tired of players insulting us becouse we kill "their" enemys. Thank you for answer. |
|
There are no enemies to one group, the enemies are REALM-enemies.

a question :
if u not add? <- u break a rule yes or not ? |
|
you are free to do anything u want to do, even to work together against another realm should be allowed imo..bc thats what happens all day long between enemys.

As Sterntaler once said:
"You are allowed to add to help your own realm but you do not have to do so." |

It's unfortunately what's happening in Emain. In all other RvR maps, groups aren't optimized, members of a group aren't all the same level and anyone can run along the groups to participate in the fight. (I like that, by the way) ![]() In Emain, you see "hard" gamers building their optimised fg and going to fight another optimised group. If you run along with them, they tell you to disappear and not to leech their RPs. Lately, I noticed solo players in Emain get killed very fast by those types of fg (it seems logical) and only the fgs remain => you always see the same optimized groups playing in Emain, killing non optimized groups (it seems logical too) and all the other players get left behind in the teleportation keep. ![]() That's my experience, and it disgusted me from Emain. Does anyone feel the same about this particular RvR zone?

me too, and for this reason i think that i will start to add whatever i want. Im tired of this kind of rvr.

unfortunately there are many differences to live ![]() if there is zerg rvr you got no alternatives... maybe braemar |

If you run a 8man group, and say there is only one more realm out that has a 8man.
its not fair for others just watch those 2 realms fight it out and both sides saying Dont Add Dont Add... one group of people shouldnt be the only group getting RPs... if thats the case then might was well say this server is only for gulid vs gulid fights O.o My first day in RvR Emain 3 months ago.... was in a group of 6, we saw ahead almost 2FG of albs taking on 1 guild group of hibs, the Hibs where sreaming out in /b Not to Add, even cussin not to add ![]() ![]() If you want a Fair 8vs8 fight maybe setting up a arena where 2 groups can fight it out just to pratice there skills ( No RP Gain there ) lol I do on the other hand try to respec a 1vs1 fight if the other asks me not to add, but if he dont all i can asume is he/she needs help. and i better do it quick before more inc. this is just my opion, I get Zerged from the other realms all the time and rarly do i see some one respec me fighting some one else 1vs1 if i ever find my self that lucky. So aye when i see a fight I want to beapart of it. and give alittle pay back :+) Sal |

I can understand some Guys (or also called adders) ,but you have to think a bit about it.. so i will give you an example :
1 fg hib vs 1 fg mid ... there are 2 or 3 fights in 8vs8 without adds , suddenly 4 hibs add into the battle -> mids die and what happens? next inc = 16mids vs 8 hib --> hibs have no chance , theres no other group to get --> hib log out ==> adders ruined RvR Thats the way it goes on uthgard guys

Have you ever wondered who exactly it is complaining about the so called
adding? Right, the complaints are usually made by 8vs8 guild groups and they most of the time don't care about "adding" other people in their 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs8, 6vs18 ... whatever ^^ Nayru already stated it. This is some kind of counterstrike behaviour that was introduced to DAoC when mmorpg's became more and more common and lured all the kiddos to these realms and this is where our problem begins. Over are the times of proud leisure time warriors who identified themselves even at least a bit with their realm and so, did not care whom or how many opponents to kill if there at least were opponents. Most mmorpgs by now are ruled by pyrexian mollycoddle-kiddos (Pyrexia= medical term for fever). They are in a permanent state of fever which means their mommy should measure the heighth of their fever in their ear, oral and possibly anal to fulfill the pyrexian mollycoddle-kiddos need of caretaking while the term "kiddo" stands for the ultimate ability of pure complaint if the pyrexian mollycoddle-kiddo isn't properly hugged and caretaken and while mommy is taking care the term "mollycoddle" comes in describing that the pyrexian mollycoddle-kiddo would rather logout of the game instead of fighting and having the chance of possible nice fights and fun. With regards Sethor Characters:
Midgard: Nothing atm Albion: Nothing atm Hibernia: suxx ^^ |

I still have your voice on my ear, sethor, while complaining about adders to a numerous fair fight. So please stop your "good guy" behaviour.
