Is there any provision on this server to combat "window dragging"?

I just found out about what it is and I have heard numerous people say that it is a large problem on Uthgard now.

i think you cant do anything against window dragging because it makes your daoc freeze as long as you're dragging. So your client does not send any packets and it's handled as a lag...

get fraps or a system like it :+)
So if you by chance see some one widowdraging you can just record it :+)
then send it to the GMs and problem solved :+)

Thank god its on the to-do list. I saw first hand on purga how this sort of thing can ruin good fights.

its already done but not part of the actual version of the european client.
btw i didn't find anything in 1.89 patchnotes

so you'd have to make 1.89 - and not higher - required uthgard client... or do you wait for european 1.9 patch?

Just nice how they only lag then your trying to kill them.

i remember on live, i ran after this eld, and get to the eld, still alive. the eld runs. the the eld dissapears, to re-appear behind me already nuking me again. i therefore, chase her again, for her to dissapear, and reappear behind me nuking me agin. was 100 % impossable to hit that caster.

yet im sure she told the admins she was just laggy that day not her fualt.

thank god they fixed that bug.

you can have lag to use position based styles with a fighter when your oponent is facing/sticking you... so why couldnt you have lags when you have a caster to prevent such lucky lags from fighters? :D

this also works in two ways you can stick your a realm enemy and hit a backstyle while being behind and due to lag you cant use any backpositional styles and you do a anytimer ....

ah and to answer your question YOU GET JAILED IF YOU DO SO -.-

( ehm if someone proofs that you did )

It was fixed on live, so using that as an excuse doesn't work. There is nothing "skill" based about playing in windowed mode and dragging the window around to generate lag.

Skill is positioning, reaction speed where and when to kite, which spells/styles to use etc. Abusing lag to land positionals, or warp out of melee range is NOT skill at all. Players on live run radar too, should this be considered skill as well?
