I have tried everything im on a adminstrator account on my computer but i keep getting Dark Age of Camelot was unable to get the path to your My Documents Directory. You may need to change your security settings. I have it directly linked to the camelot.exe file. please help

Ich habe seit etwa 2Wochen das selbe Problem und bekomme dieses leider nicht selbst gelöst.
I have the same problem for about 2 weeks and unfortunately I can not solve it myself.

Did you try to completely re-install the client and the Uthgard launcher?

What operating system are you using? Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10? If you do not know, please click on the start menu and type "winver.exe", hit enter, then capture a screenshot to provide for us.

Wanted to add that today I am also having problems connecting it seems. Am using windows 7 home.

Logged in once, game was choppy in the sense that every 4 - 15 seconds or so game would freeze in place but my movements would continue on where as when the game would come back in it would place me wherever I would have moved or turned to. I thought maybe something did not load correctly, relogged on to another toon, same thing.

Restarted comp and now the launcher sits at 100% for an unusually long time, 5 minutes or so, the loading splash screen comes up which ussually loads in maybe 6 seconds, this time gets to about 20% on the gold loading bar and game stops responding.

Will let you know if I find out anything new.

*UPDATE* Restarted launcher after posting this and seems to be running normally :: shrugs ::

I just reinstalled the launcher. I'm using Windows 10 but had to start Uthgard in win8 compatibility mode.
I'm doing a complete reinstall. Am at about 90%
Again the same: User Folder was not initialized

Daoc has full admin rights!

What is the exact path where the launcher is looking for? Maybe I can change it so that it is found.
In addition, I have recently performed a system recovery, which failed, however. Can this be due to it?

Depending on what was done, possibly. If you do a "System reset" but keep your data, it will use certain types of hard/soft links that can cause some API calls to fail.

Is it possible for you to go to your "Documents" Librarry in Windows explorer, right click and choose a different location (don't worry, you can say move my documents)"

So I have already found My Documents and I think the folder is in the wrong place. Therefore, it would be very helpful to know where the launcher is looking for or which path is normal.

Did you ever get this issue figured out? Getting the same error now. Have tried re-installing everything already.
