switching from desktop into the game takes like 10 sec since the new windows 10 update. somebody know the problem and how to fix it?

Make sure your desktop refresh rate matches Daoc if you are running full screen. Alternatively try borderless window mode

How do u run borderless window mode?

Turn on window mode, then exit game, go to launcher options and enable it. You can mimic full screen by selecting your resolution, such as 1960x1080

Speaking of borderless, sometimes when I run the launcher, the window appears with borders despite borderless option checked. Am I the only one experiencing that?

I didn't change the launcher settings, and just need to retry several times in a row until the windows finally shows up borderless. I couldn't isolate what actually makes the border appear yet, it looks random because I think I'm just running the launcher the exact same way every time. I'm playing in a VM with no other application running (the VM is dedicated to Uthgard, so it's just boot, run browser, run launcher).

Haven't heard of that for anyone else. Never seen it my self and I use borderless window exclusively

I guess it might in some way result from the 3D virtualization or something then. I'll update if I find a specific way to reproduce it one day, but it's not a big deal at the moment as long as I can finally make it work after several attempts.

Was running fine and then windows update and it was slow.

usually happens to me the 1st time I run the game, but relaunching it once is enough for me. Its annoying having to launch it always twice

Oh, so it's not the VM. It's even more annoying in my case because, for some reason, I have to reboot the VM to make the launcher work again if I already ran and quit the game before. Even when the process is closed, if I run the launcher after having quit the game, nothing will happen.

i chosed windows mode in game, restart the gameclient, launcher settings on borderless, start the game, enjoy.

i really dont know what microsoft messed up again with that updates but nvm. it worked fine for me now, thx

Happends to me to rarely but its fixed when i log back in after i log out

I've also had it revert from windowed to full screen once in a while. Seems the client sometimes doesn't already read the settings correctly. Restarting the client always fixes it for me.
