I ask for your forgiveness that you had to wait a little longer than usual for this news. Due to some hardware problems I could not provide this info earlier...
Hello community! First of all we want to thank all of you for the excellent numbers that we are experiencing lately. More than 270 players during peak hours is reached rather persistently now. This gives us some reassurance that we are on the right way regarding our server development. Currently, our time is dedicated to find and solve deficiencies in the keep system and in RvR in general. At the same time we are performing some measurements and testing to check (and if necessary fix) basic formulas. The goal is to establish a clean base for all classes, mobs and pets and to get rid of some structural errors. Also, we will run a test concerning the block rate because we suspect that it's missing an important factor. Note: It might take a while until this test is actually done. With the results of these tests we are planning on completing and fixing our basic content - i.e. fully implemented classes (including pets), levelling system, classic features. This also includes a revision of the battlegrounds and probably some major changes! Furthermore, there are a couple of bugs in the low-level content and some breaks in the levelling arch (not enough high-level quests, static levelling, improper bonuses when grouping, not enough special locations). However, this does not include changes to housing and crafting. That has an even lower priority than changing the RvR zone which will become an issue after those basic problems. The reworked mobs and pets will be accompanied by correct drop rates for seals in DF as well as gold and salvage values for drops. You can also expect another set of epic quests. First, there will be level 20 quests for Albion (they're already halfway done). Next, we are going to make up for the other realms since player numbers seem to be more or less balanced at the moment. In the near future 3 more people will be added to the Players' Council. There are no specific candidates yet, but we're going to try to reach as many groups in all realms as possible. As you might have noticed we have given some people moderator rights on IRC. They are supposed to keep the flame level at a minimum. They are representatives of the staff and you should show them due respect. If you have any problem with one of them feel free to contact Nayru or Presto. Another point to be mentioned here is the functionality of the respec system. Both on Live and on Uthgard points in auto-train lines will be frozen when respeccing. This is the correct implementation. It doesn't matter if you actually used auto-train or not. We don't want to have a general simplification of auto-train. If you really need those extra points you'll have to earn them the hard way. Last but not least, Kalypso has successfully completed her trial period and has joined the ranks of our regular GMs. Congratulations! |

Nice to hear that finally
The only thing that makes me be carefull in this case is that the news that pet improvements e.g fully implementation of pets will come soon was in the news on this site already one year ago at nearly the same date ![]() |
|
And I think it was even 2 years ago here
![]() Full implementation of all pets will not happen out of sudden, it happens step by step. Theurg pets implemented, next one other class and so on. Currently the main focus is on the fundamentals. Blockrate / Parry / Missrate fixing is on top. |
