I've been playing daoc for years, I always get happy helping out of helping lower level players by taking my high level characters to low level dungeons and giving them buff or healing them or bodyguarding this with a high level tank, if they get too many mobs on them I can easily kill the grays that are on them.

I was originally on Midgard with my lvl 47 Mending/aug shaman about a week or so ago, before I used the realm transfer which took a week to switch to Hibernia. Before, I did that though I would use friggs and give other players buffs in Nisse's dungeon all the time. I did it for entire groups and players loved me helping them pull mobs on myself while they would kill them without having to worry about adds. Plus I could use a frigg and it would help them without stealing xp. I just liked doing it. I did it for no profit and I liked doing it. But I always fear I will be looked at for being a buffbot.

I want to make a bard and run people around in their low levels 1 through 20 and help them complete /task from sentinel guards now. Is this an okay thing to do? I am also a shield specced elf blademaster with high dex for guarding others. Is it ok to guard low level players?

What are the rules for helping others in your realm?

Well sure help is encouraged and appreciated if that's what you like to do. But if you're just standing there buffing them and healing after fights people will catch on. And if you're just a buff bot you'll get caught eventually, The GMs have magical powers that will catch you. But if you're just legit helping people that's fine. But I wouldn't afk while they're buffed if I we you.

Jesus auto correct sucks. If you want to help people level you would have to have a way of massive pulls and or being able to focus pull and or min med fast to make it worth it.

Until they increase the xp rate or add in BG quest the new players won't play. Most people that are going to be xping bare realm transfers. In this case they just want steady xp. These folks will join the largest guilds then once they use them for PL and or crafting they will bail to make their 8 mans.

Yes you can help.
I'd like to add that the player you are trying to help should agree to your help.

When grouping with a low level character please make sure to remain in front of your computer.
Otherwise a GM might check you for buff botting which then could result in an account suspension for both players.

In general simply make sure to follow the server rules: https://www2.uthgard.net/rules
