Who's feeding? Most of those groups i listed are clobbering drachengarde + the german alliance groups and hold their own with the caster hybrid 8v8 group. The only group that cleans up is Maramar's high rr tank group but they lose their share as well.

Your defeatist attitude won't bring you many invites though.

not impressed, the only good mid groups running nowadays is romps' group when quadz and irenicus are on the squad...playfulls + tilt's group is a close second.

Not impressed by the other alb groups who are succeeding? Also if you're an NA player try grouping with Buds pug, they have an excellent minstrel named Charades who could help you with learning your character.

There are 2 good minstrels on alb. They are Drastic and Kha.

Building decent groups in Albion is cruel and unusual punishment, and anyone who thinks otherwise obviously has never tried to do it.

Alb is by far the strongest realm but on the other hand by far the worst for Pugs. It's sad that this patch level is utter garbage for any kind of competitive 8v8 scene

for anyone asking the reasoning behind this - IMO - its because:

Alb groups are usually hybrids. Hybrids by nature are more flexible but require more "overall game IQ /Individual skill" to adapt to situation/match ups.

with that being said, hybrids have a higher skill ceiling than 1 dimensional group setups. my 2 cents

all this being said without the OPness of relics and SOS of course ^^

Imbalance is, in part, due to low RR and low quality of play atm, IMO. Not to say that it excuses the weaknesses of this patch level for 8v8, but I think the big RAs like SoS, BoF, BAoD, etc, become much less influential once everyone is RR7+, and has more tools to survive through their use (most notably MoC).

Like Playfull said, hybrid setups are essential for competitive play on this server because of the hard counter RAs that demolish groups that are either too melee or caster focused. Simply because of how crucial abilities in Alb are spread out amongst classes, most Alb groups end up as rounded hybrids, which further compliments their big RAs. Ultimately, all realms are OP in different ways, at different levels of play. Unfortunately Alb is the 8v8 flavour of the month due to mid range RR, and mid to low group skill. Would love to reroll a Mid or Hib hybrid once I have time to play, again

The SOS bashing is kinda wrong. Of course it helps on some situation, and can permit a comeback.
But it's once every 30 minutes. With a decent active group and some action, it's basically SOS every 4-6 fights (if needed).
I don't think it's that big of an impact.
Relics aswell. It's a bonus but not a gamekiller.

Today we ran a caster group with the only melee : A Paladin. (with 20% melee bonus )
Managed to kill high RR groups without SOS used more than once. Not easily but still.
Casuals (insane fights btw some great comebacks for both groups) and flump group(s).

Lost once against a melee hib group (no relic bonus for them they just played it well)

I guess it's all about teamplay, having a good leader, good MA, and good reactivity.
All the RA/Relic thing is just "bonus", if you do ****** it won't be of any use, if you do well you don't badly need it..

If ichor worked(still gives root/snare immunity instead of resetting) itd be pretty powerful as well, atm its meh

Every realm will defend its RA's and its set up and how enemies are OP....Albion can make better set up but unfortunately as it has been stated before yes they lack people...but once they have people that problem is solved.As for the SOS timer yes its 30 mins cd but u need a good enemy grp to use it,lately all groups have sos up for our group..sometimes we win but mostly we loose.We try to take lightly our loses but we cant,in the end its a facking game and u need to take fun ...u aint 20yo kids with elitism we have all grown up and need to evolve and just have fun.
