The material cost averages out to 6.3p. I've seen most armour pieces on the market are going for about a 100% markup, so I would expect roughly the following, per piece.

Chest - 4.2p
Leggings/Helm - 2.5p
Sleeves - 1.8p
Boots/Gloves - 800g

If you can find an LGM Tailor to make the set for you, you can usually get a cheaper price by commission than through the market finder.

though actually the leather chest sells for more like 2.5p, and the other stuff for even less. which is why I stopped crafting armor for sale, because of the ridiculous prices. I can't even make a profit, because there is always someone else selling the armor so that I make a net profit of like 200g per item for a return of hours of crafting.

the 99% chain I sell for a 100% markup of material cost, considering I am losing 25% per item that is not 99%, I still RARELY make a profit considering that I craft maybe 2 or 3 99% items out of 10. leaving me with a 0% net profit for 2 items out of 10 or a 12.5% return on my investment for 3 99% items. i really don't want to sit around crafting for hours for a 12.5% increase on my gold, when i could make much more than that if i was farming and trinketing.

in reality i have lost many plat trying to make a profit on the CM.

so you may as well go to the housing market. because crafters that sell their armor there are also willing to work for slave wages.

A little late to reply here, but I just wanted to share my experiences with selling armour. I did a lot of low-price crafting early in the server and after getting burnt out, because of how time consuming the whole practice is, I quit crafting for awhile. When I took a glance at the merchants a few months later, I noticed many pieces of chain/plate weren't even available on the housing market! Presumably because crafters didn't think it was worthwhile to make anything other than boots and gloves.

At this point I decided to get back into a bit of crafting, but to make sure it was a sustainable pursuit this time. I now sell my items for 50% markup on material cost, as well as 50% markup on retry costs. I find this is a pretty good middle ground, but I may go higher in the future. I only sell one or two items per week, but it's at a price that doesn't make me feel like I'm chopping off my arm for "the good of the realm".

I still try to help out new players with discounted 99% suits, but if you're greedy enough to want an MP suit, I'll be sure to ask a reasonable price in return :D
