i know i'll get flamed for this but i think it should be told in here.
i have nothing against people playing two or more realms, as long as they treat them as different games... last night i saw a perfect example of unfair Xrealming, not that i was involved with it but i witnessed it.. albs start a spontanious df raid, hoping to kill legion, i was leveling my merc in df... while albs are forming grp's and stuff i see over 2 FG of hibs running towards alb entrance... never seen that before... where they informed by a xrealmer? must be if you ask me... hibs get killed and things calm down, so albs go direction legion... most albs where in lvl range between 40 and 50, some even lower, so they had a hard time killing legion... then things changed cause two grps of mids storm in and wipe the regging or weakened remaining albs... once again, how do they know a legion raid is done? and why do they wait till albs are weakened to farm rp's off them? there has been a discussion abouth this, and gm's decided they maybe would install a timer so changing realm would take more time, but it seems that timer doesn't excists at the moment... so i like to open up this discussion again.. it's possible the mids got warned by a low mid lvling, when they passed him, but the hibs could not have known it this way... i dislike some people that are playing other realms and allway's choose the stronger side, using what they hear and see in one realm, to change realm and spoil the fun of others.. hope in the future this could be changed cause some players don't know the meaning of fair play just my 2 cents monty |

I think everyone noticed the Alb Zerg in emain yesterday...
such a big zerg does not appear and disappear without any reason |
|
Well, first off,the people who atacked and killed your Legion Raid were Mids.
The reason why we showed up at your entrance was, that we wanted to clean DF from enemies after Emain was empty and after we closed DF,btw. we were only 12 Midis and not even all 50 ![]() When we saw that there was a huge Zerg of Albs at the entrance we knew, this Zerg wasn´t there for no reason and decided to see if they wanna kill Legion, and of course they wanted to.This had NOTHING to do with X-Realming,it was just plain luck, after all the ones that iniciated this were Tyragon and me,go check if one of us was logged in at Alb at this time, you will see we weren´t. And to the "weakened remaining albs"
I was with my levl 39 Runny by the Mids. Not every Mid who killed the Albs where levl 50. |

Well...i agree with monty on this one.
It was quite obvious, there had been an information leak to mid side yesterday. But this is a thing that albion has to deal with internal. The reason, the raid was crushed by mids, is not because of bad behavior on mid side, but because of some individuals on alb side with more affinities to midgard than to alb... If alb would get the info about an mid or hib raid there would be the same thoughts and tries of rupting or killing them while they are at legion. So, what should be the concequence, is, that a legion raid is more effective when planned secretly without giving informations to certain realm groups/guilds and without drawing to much attention in emain. An all of a sudden completely disappearing zerg in emain is quite obvious in it's heading... ![]() Kronos |

Heho,
I really don´t understand what you mean, I was in the group that wiped at the Alb entrance and that was a mid Group. After that some people make a new group in Mid to attack the Alb when they go for Legion, I logg like some other. I think its not imposselbel when you see 25 alb or more in DF to know that they will be go for Legion. And to know that Albs are in DF is also not impossibel, before we go to DF we claimed a keep in Emain, there were no Albs and what is a typical behavor of Alb when they aren´t in Emain ? Yes, they are in DF. MFG Luydor |

To underline Islana's statement:
There was no xRealm information at any time. The most of those midi's forming up the groups for closing DF,cleaning DF and intercept the Legion raid were in the same TS at that time. But no xRealm information was given there and nothing was written in ally/guild channels. All actions taken were taken on propability. It was some luck we guessed right, but the guessing was not that hard. Alb zerg in emain -> mid tries to form up resistance -> alb successfully open df->alb zerg disappers->midis are bored so they close df-> still no one shows up so mids are bored even more->A zerg doesn't disapper for no reason when there are good rp's->take a look in df for levelers, maybe a raid-> we accidently hit a big zerg which wipes the mids->such a zerg is only done for legion-> mids form up a interception zerg(only 2fg + 1-2 adder) with only 1 perfekt group and some low levels->mid charge towards legion and we are faster as the albs as the way was quite clean-> we directly attacked the albs at legion,no wait nor remorse ![]() From my point of view no magic and no need of xrealm information, as not all midis are dump trolls ^^ I liked the action but i can understand the albs beeing jelous about it but thats rvr and df is a rvr zone <img src="http://www.covod.org/uth_daoc_sig/SigV2.php?chars=Lynisar;Guthand;Salia;Zmirir;Donnerfaust">

Maybe there was no realm spying... this time... or maybe there was. But the timer is still a good idea. There would be no doubt then. Someone from realm x just spotted a large group of players of realm y and told it to his realm mates.
|
|
Well actually this is why you usually raid Legion only if your realm is the
currently DF-controlling realm. If ownership changes while you are inside it is obvious that some opponents are going to disturb you in DF and especially this is the interesting part of DF -- you are never totally safe unless you control it and managed to clear it of stealthers. With regards Sethor Characters:
Midgard: Nothing atm Albion: Nothing atm Hibernia: suxx ^^ |

I don't want to flaming so i don'T care about the last night
( just 1 thing: i want to thanks to remember me why i hate some ppl and what's the behaivor what help me to left the server 1 years ago...) And for the topic: If there is no xrealm,WHY everybody againts that timer? If you aren't a xrealmer you have nothing to fear, are you? <img src="http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/3213/signzzx.jpg"border="0" />
|
|
Sethor is right there.. thats the normal DF behaviour. DF ist still very unpopular with most players so these things aren't seen as often as we want them to. We'll try our best to make DF a more lively place in the future though.. the danger is always with you down there

Heho,
Cactus Don´t think that everybody is against the timer, but it gives me no matter, because I think this timer will only look on your ip adress and its not diffcult to change your ip. MFG Luydor |
|
I know how easy to change ip,but i don't want to be offense -really -,but atm the xrealmer rule, well it's good to have but no more...This "program" at least have a small chance to do something, not much, but have. <img src="http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/3213/signzzx.jpg"border="0" />

Just think about, its enough that ONE player in DF alarms his realm in the alliance channel as soon as he sees the zerg. So I dont think that xrealming is required to activate enemy forces. A single leveling player of a big enemy guild on the way is enough. Or imagine he just tells his observation to one mature player he knows, and that player tells it in alliance channel, thats enough.
So DF must be closed for all other realms and has to be consequently cleaned imo to have at least a certain degree of peace in there. |

Albs was in the entrance(near the npc guards) when 2 fg mids arrived. <img src="http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/3213/signzzx.jpg"border="0" />
