Confused on what evidence was brought to this issue - https://www2.uthgard.net/tracker/issue/ ... _own_relic that made them decide this was invalid.
Its listed as "Upon review, this will not be implemented as contradiction has been found of 1.70av patch note: https://forums.freddyshouse.com/threads ... elic.2279/" What evidence was found that makes this invalid? Reading that thread everyone says the same thing. That you are unable to take another realms relic without owning your own. The only exception to that is covered in a post by saying, "You can't take them from the Relic Keep before getting your own relic first, but if you kill the carrier of the other realms relic you can take it." I could agree with that. The confusing part is that it says it was a contradiction of what was found in 1.70av patch note which is after this 1.65 era and part of NF and not OF. Also reading the patch note is even more confusing. It states, "You no longer need your own realm's relics before you can capture an enemy one. However, a bonus is only gained from a relic if the realm owns their own of that type." , which to me means that prior to this patch you have to own your own relics before you are able to capture an enemy one. Which is exactly what the evidence proved that made the statement valid. Anyone else confused by this? @Abydos @Blue |

Forum posts confirmed the original herald post (which was later reposted as wiki info)
First infos were that relics couldn't be picked up, was countered with the wiki info (wiki should not be regarded as totally factual without corroboration). Change was made on this basis, but further review found 1) the original post on the herald which stats a dropped relic can be picked up by anyone and 2) a post from the time frame corroborating that statement |

I see. I misread the comment that Albion had dropped the relic. That was why I did not understand. Makes sense now.
Since the relic had been picked up then dropped it now became fair game until the timer would expire to allow it to return from the last position. Thank you. |
