There is a problem in Albion.

The infrastructure is not there. Support is not there. Prices are insane.

Prices on CM are very high. One good test for an economy is the price of respec stones. Another test of an economy is the price of DF seals.

Those prices are literally insane. Selling 11/3/1 for seals is pretty standard in a working economy. In albion it is what 100/10/3 or something silly?

Respecs are how much?

Everybody and his mother *cough* Necro is farming pygmys.

If such prices for seals are really paid is a different story. You have to know that Albion has the most floating money compared to all other realms. You can't see it but I do. Albion has nearly twice the gold (+80%) compared to other realms. A large part of that is pygmy farming. Its an inflation in progress.

Sir, I am 100% in agreement with you.

Can you do something to help out albion? What do governments do to help fight inflation? Can the devs help alb?

Reduction in crafting time or increased drops on seals? Man I'm just bewildered. I sure hope some of the next patch puts some love in which will help.

One thing to reduce inflation is increase supply of the items. Reduce the respawn timers on named mobs, increase their drop rate and prices in housing will fall making it easier for people to finish templates/rvr.

Its kinda the opposite direction you just took with Jarl but never too late to take a new path.

Increasing success rates on crafting. Increase drop rates?

Governments would increase interest rates to get ppl to not invest but save money so the merchants who offer stuff would have to lower prices to sell. That would not work on Uthgard :-)

We would have to limit gold farming in Albion to more balanced levels (compared to other realms). The pygmy spot farming is at the core of that problem since they can be killed in masses and drop quite a bit. I've shown a statistic graph that shows how imbalanced that spot is compared to other realms.

At the mentioned seal prices Alb should get DF and farm it. This would be quite lucrative if it gets sold at such prices.

Just remember one thing, if a seller can demand a high price and someone is willing to pay that price, that is the market price. Nobody would demand high prices if it doesn't get sold (I assume the seller wants to sell).

For more rare stuff for which prices naturally increase you have to answer why its rare. When nobody organizes dragon raids then there will be ofcourse a problem getting stuff from it. If Dragon raids really are attempted but fail we can talk about tuning the dragon down a bit. But if such raids are not even organized by the realm then the realm has the problem.

Actually Jarl's loot was corrected and you should see his proper items dropping WAY more often since he has a smaller table overall. Other mobs actually have a drop chance now -- and overall, the desired items will drop way more frequent than before.

What used to bug me with the Jarl (and still does to an extent) is the big reward for the low risk. It's quite easy to bring a toon down there and park it, and just log in to check if it's up or not. The mob is soloable and its bracer, in very high demand, sells for a hefty price.

About the alb situation, would that be an option to just severely nerf necromancers?
With the benefits of:
-reduce solo gameplay profitability
-reduce systemic PL
-control inflation
-promote group play and social connections, and by extension strengthen the bonds of the realm as a whole. Which would benefit pve raids, especially dragon and rvr action.

Without derailing this thread too far, I can let you know that bracer does not drop from Jarl anymore -- look around for the mob that does.

Thanks for fixing the risk/reward imbalance then. Problem solved!

So what can we do against that?
Nerfing spots or droprates would not help, The money is already existing and will only hurt Casuals and people who refuse to play nec.

Adding additional money sinks is not the cure but is a good start und helps to pull oup money out of the market.

How about adding new stuff to the housing like a Hastener and Porter without tickets. To compensate the 10 Silver loss per ticket just increase the price for that special NPC's. I bet there are enough people that would buy them for ~ 3 Platin to avoid that annoying ticket trading.
Also waal carpets and other decoration that are missing here but were added with Toa and later patches could drain out some gold.

Or the abitity to change the cloak skin for 5P, nothing special just the skins you get from the crafted ones.
This would also help to get some variation on cloak skins since most have the default "Hooded Cloak" skin because we dont know how they looked like.

I know there are already existing NPC's for Shoulder pads for 5P / upgrade but that has some huge flaws:

*most people don't know they exist
*there is no preview for each stage (just adding some NPC's with all armor types and upgrade lvl will help)
*there is no good way to downgrade (downgrade from Tier 5-> 4 cost 45p! in total currently)

Very good suggestion. We need more buyable cosmetic stuff. Weapon dyes or the possibility to change amour piece to your class epic amour skin and so on.
Hope GMs are fine with what they have stated, that they are fine with just 80 people (300ppl was Trishin Statement long time ago) playing the game under their vision.
Its important to leave this server running doesn't matter how low the numbers will be. The other servers can fail but Uthgard still will be there, thats Uthgards only chance.

Edit 19/09/21: Well Uthgards chance has come.

my lvl 45 cleric did get pa today for 915 dmg by a rr 5 sb.

I had to look twice. No crit. No nothing. Maybe the alb cancer starts with 915 point pas?

You don't see CRIT reflected in your chatlog as the victim.
