My bard guildie is back online, going to try and get my hybrid grp out there as much as possible again.

Don't give up on NA guys, has been pretty good action lately.

Tilt giving up hehe, win ratio going down and died to Mystikal Knights in odins the night of their ragequit 8O

There are nights I want to run but I look around and we're just missing crucial classes so we go out and smallman instead if we can.

I'd rather run out as 3-4 and get RPs and have good fights like I did last night than try and shoehorn a group with no Sorc/Mins and only one Cleric.

There are still some of us. Look for Trained Again - they're out during NA PST times and I'm with them sometimes.

But yeah, as far as legit nightly reliable 8v8 - not much left, mainly due to lacking classes and in turn, people.

It's a lot harder when your realm requires certain strategies rather than just running in, Ichor, interrupt everything, turn into a Vendo.

BGs still run as well but people might be busy lately. Some people in my alliance are looking to form up some semi-regular pugs though. We will probably post here so people know when we are going to be around.

Emain is a pretty place, but the 45 minutes countryside tours are getting old so I'd rather just tell people we are in Hiblands rather than teleport past each other in circles searching.

thanks for the Trained Again shout out Budikah. Glad we've been getting out and getting fights lately now that everyones 50 (or almost lol). always glad to run with ya!

Didn't realize you were in our guild and knew our goings ons :)

Our BD has been on vacation. That coupled with the last 2 weeks we've ran there are a total of 4 grps out total (Tilt, TA, Catatonic and the Hib Pug) which means an average of 1 fight per 45 mins = not a lot of fights. I'm glad you're concerned our win rate, we aren't as this is 16 year old game. No idea who Mystikal Knights are, but good fight I'm sure! We've survived 99% of the other NA guilds playing only a few nights a week for a few hours at a time. The truth is the RvR is dead/has been dying for months NA time and anyone who says otherwise is clinging to a fantasy, sorry to break it to you. We aren't totally done yet but will be soon.

We are a bunch of grown ups with families and all the things that come with it. I haven't been running because I feel one decent fight per hour is less enjoyable than playing with kids or spending time with the wife :D

I'm pretty positive it's the same thing fo Drah.

Also, relics!

We're just getting this most recent incarnation of our group going on Hib and we're, for the time being, going to be trying to run at least a few nights during the week from roughly 9 - 12pm EST and then hopefully get a few hours in during the weekend afternoon prime time hours.

65 on in hib at midnight Est/9pm Pst. :(

That may have been caused in part by the login/website accessibility issue.

Likely.

Very few people probably found the technical work around to the issue.

Best not judge off of anomalies.

For the record, Juice is still watching the forums on a regular basis. We can't get a solid number to log in though, and when we pug it's hit or miss after an hour of lfg.

If something changes and more action appears, we'll come back

Are there many people who small man regularly? I've never been a part of an 8man because I usually just play with people I know in real life but like running small groups in RvR . My times vary heavily but I'm usually on at night (EST) on weekdays and random times on the weekend.

If so, where do you usually roam? Do you go to emain? Do most 8mans kill groups of 2-4?

I'n not as regular as I would like to be right now, but I mostly run a Sorc/Cleric duo with my brother. We usually run down to Svasud Faste, stopping by Doden's on the way, and try to draw folks out. When that is super dead we'll go to Emain and try to find folks at AMG who want to fight, and if not we go to Drum Ligen and do the same.

I love smallman because you never know what will be a balanced fight. Our class duo is super strong, so anything up to 2v5 can be fair, and if you get in a bad fight it's not too hard to grab a couple buddies and go back out. I think the most important thing is to be in IRC whenever you're out, to chat with other smallmans. A loose coordination like that will go a long way towards building a good smallman community.

Also, yes, I don't think an 8man has ever seen us and not tried to kill us immediately :P The respectful 8mans might leave a solo alone, but not any kind of smallman.
