Getnbusy.... yes, we all know sos is a bit op this patch. We ran a mid pug for a month (noradae, buddhazeng, hincha/crave, nicah, jubi, romps, paulette, slamguard/brend) that was most certainly not "easily beaten" by anything. Im sure there are others who found the same success. Lots of talent on this server just gotta find em and get them 2gether

If you run the same majority of people each night, even if different guilds, it is not a pug. Half your group has religiously played together since Genesis. Obviously you have no clue about real pugs.

PuG Def: Pickup Group - basically means a group that isn't formed by people you know, it's formed up of/with possible random ppl.
It is the same like a few Hib Grps. Different guilds, but the same player is not a PuG. Maybe if a relevant slot is filled total random, we can start about thinking of telling this a random pick up.

Relics is a false issue imho. What have been done can be undone. Alb has 0 relics and now they have 3 str, nothing is impossible. If mid want relic back you just need to put aside your ego and start playing as a realm.
Your assumptions are wrong my dear. Do you happen to know how Albs got the Str relics? Certainly not by their own might. Right, Hibs got all Mid keeps and Albs snacked it. (Or it was a joint effort) The relic situation will remain forever like it is now. We have made numerous attempts the past weeks, but just can't bring the numbers. Always getting outnumbered no matter what point of time/timezone 1:2 and 1:2.5. Relics are indeed the main and only issue. That, and that Midgard runs zero casters. As someone else said before here, you will never win in a keep with a bunch of single target melee characters vs 90% caster enemy force. But there's also a good part in all of this, bunch of newcomers that want to RvR because they have suddenly relics which are so easy to farm, easy Rps. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Any realm can capture relics at any time. All it takes is will power and organization. Keeping them is another issue.

While it might be abit off the original topic, I would just like to say that I am glad to see Mid pulling off that retake of their own relics last weekend. Impressive raid! At the same time I got this nasty feeling us Albs would not be able to pull something simular ever and preplan an organized raid with that many people, without the enemies would know. We had no intell anything was in the making, and the few times we have tried ourselves the enemies already knew before we rolled out. it is what it is though Doesnt take anything away from your great result. And I for one am glad to see mid back in the relic game (or maybe just glad to not face hibs with 20%power)

It was an effort planned across multiple Mid alliances. We repaired the inner doors and tower doors the night before but left the outer door open so if anyone drifted by it wouldn't look like the RK had been prepared to receive a relic. The Myth Alliance paid 7.5 P and spent hours running ironwood to the keep. We parked alts with 30,000 + IW on them at the power relic, so the doors could be quickly repaired after the relic was brought home. The other Alliances gave me 5P the next day which I restributed to those who had spent so much for wood. We also had parked over 10 rams in our vaults so we could make a direct run to the relic keep. Then our EU members went to sleep with the plan to meet up in SF at 8 AM CET Sunday morning. We woke up, had breakfast and started forming the BG at 7 AM CET. By 8 AM we had enough folks to port to Emain and go directly to the Power relic, bypassing all the Hib keeps. We didn't see a single Hib until after we had 3 rams up on the outer door. We had groups preassigned to watch the side gates and stealthers watching DL and DC. Very few Hibs came out until after we had grabbed the relic. We placed that relic in Gallarhorn, re-ramed and ported to Albion. We assumed any Albs or Hibs on line at that time would be expecting us to return to Hibernia to hit the power relic keep again. We didn't expect many enemies to be in Albion and we were right, so we went directly to EXcal, bypassing all the Alb keeps... We had pre assigned groups to ram the doors and to guard the side gates. We saw few Albs until after we grabed the relic. Had a few scrimishes in FS and Penines but most Albs were headed to MMG to block. There was a small blocking force there but we outnumbered em 2 or 3 to 1 and quickly killed them. Then on to the Portal keep for a quick trip home. The porrters were a bit slow which gave the Albs a chance to race us to Upland. We beat them by a couple of minutes. No Albs were seen in Upland until after I placed the relic. Then we had a nice fight between Mjoliner and SF. The Albs did get a lot of RPs but we got two relics home. /salute to all who participated in both realms.

First of all, gratz and well deserved. I dont personally give anything about when it was done, from the very detailed description you just gave it sounds fully deserved and I especially like how you got both EU and NA involved in this raid for your realm. Since it kinda has to be a realm-wide effort to do relics in my book I wasnt on at this time when it happend, but I can share my point of view since you were so kind to share so much about how well organized you guys did it(and hopefully other realms step up the organization to match it) So already on friday us albs saw Excal being hit several times by smaller groups of mids, both fullgroups but also smallmen. Simply just tagging and scouting to see our reaction time and forces showing up. We easily assumed something was up this weekend. But as I said in my first post, we had absolutly no intell about if something was in the making - I really like it that way. not all the crossrealming and spying and dirty tricks like that. Anyways.. So after the 3rd attempt with some trebs and other sigeweapons attacking Excal outerdoor down to 45% we repaired it back up (shoutout to the Albs who play for the realm and dont mind paying plat for relic repairs!) As for Albion and our part in relics, we stood for a long time as the realm without any relics. Mostly due to alliances and guilds having beef and not working together. but also because when we had alliance events in the past they were always spied uppon and mids and hibs knew when we would roll out to do anything. Kinda kills the motivation abit id say and i dont blame the planners for stop doing events. (add in the few evenings where mid groups and hib groups have worked together against us, even lured us into a 3some only to pullout and then doubletag-team us. it is what it is, but bragging about it on irc afterwards is just meh lol) But now it was midgaard who stood without relics, hibs with the dangerous 3power relics assist trains. stun debuff nuke nuke fun and alb stealthers enjoying the melee power. I was abit worried about if mid would recover because it seemed the realm had taken a hit of rerolling heading to the other realms, plus summer hit so puplation as a whole dropping a tad. But after this well organized and succesful raid, I am glad to see you guys recovered and with style! Glad to see the server being alive and healthy

Glad to see the server being alive and healthy We had been hitting Excal's outer door with ranged siege weapons for a few days. We felt that when we attacked for real on Sunday, the Albs would just say, 'Oh it's those guys again. No real threat so no hurry.' I don't know if that aspect worked or not but it was fun to get some practice with a ranged siege weapon again.

Bad tongues would say that the Hibs were waiting for the Mids in their relic-keep, and some were not able to log on their alb-toons quickly enough as they notice that Mids were going for their relic in albion. But I´m not that evil, i think the Hibs are good and fair ppl.
