DAoC wasn`t bleeding out cause of ToA, it was bleeding out cause of WoW.

ToA was over the top, thats for sure. But why? Because the responsible ppl at Mythic thought it was exactly that what the ppl were looking for.

We need the new frontiers to be casual friendly. The option to have fights around towers and bigger sieges or just fights around bridges. There were so many good fights in these old days around keeps and bridges and now most of the time you have just the open fights and running from amg to mmg and back again - boring. Casuals often even not arrive there since no porting. The game will slowly die and it has already begun when you look at the numbers. Its sad but this game is to time consuming in a world where you get everything 10x faster.

You can't find groups cause ppl prefer PVE.
This server is 20% pvp and 80% pve players (that's why they could endure the xp'ing hell)

Lot people who left for Wow I know from my guild we're due fact there computers could run wow easier then TOA graphics .

And then lots people joined them later when they found out how big time sink getting good relics master levels were .

not due the skill needed to get them but due the time needed to organise to get them level them.

But lot people found wow easier to run on there computer then TOA.


Again nothing about skill just time sink .

Closing in on 1,000,000 million Realm points and RR6. Maybe 5% of my time is filling in for guild groups, the rest is 95% PUGs. Finally just joined a guild, aaaaaaaand still rolling in PUGs.

Thanks for the nostalgia, I had a blast getting back into DAOC for one last time. I really truly love the RvR too, but the way the community runs it here, there's no hope for it to go further. People spend hours trying to find an 8man to get into, while people sit around waiting for their standard group comes back instead of trying to fill. Sucks that its this way but I guess when you get all the die hard fans of DAOC you get people that don't care to group with new people.

We find rvr every night. I rolled hib i didnt know anyone. I rolled mid i knew 2 people whom i hadn't been in a guild with and frankly never rvr'd with either of them to this day on mid. I found my way into a rvr guild, plenty of rvr. we find plenty of small man action when we dont' run 8v8. or find people to pug....perhaps putting your chars in your sig would help you get groups...

Biggest rule, be nice and play ur best. No one likes a rage quitter or people who scream and yell in voice comm. Me, my brother, and my best friend will be adding to the NA Albion PUG pool very soon.

Agreed. Once people start getting nasty I just bow out. It's not worth the effort and disappointment.

Looking forward to more NA RvR bodies too.

I don't get it then. I've seen myself and numerous other people in LFG for long periods of times trying to look for an RvR group, and even when you try to invite people they always want to wait for a group to just happen to invite them on the 7/8 spot.
I've had a crappy experience, and it sounds like it won't change. No one opens up from their normal group, so if you don't know anyone you get a ****** result.

There is no easy solution to this sadly. What I believe the staff should focus on is more incentives to group together with more people for everything keep related. Realmpride mixed with reasonable rewards entice people to band together even if their setup isnt perfect.

Other than that your only option is to join an active RvR guild and make some friends with key characters for a group, e.g. active bards or druids in Hib.

Going into RvR with 1 subpar fg of random people sadly ends in disaster most of the time. Too many professional 8man out there that will just wreck you. But thats just the state of the game after 15 years, not anyones fault.

us TZ is heavily hib, and asia timezone is heavily alb and euro is mid. its a weird dynamic on the server...

PUGs are getting harder and harder to get. There is a clear drop off between a 8v8 group and a pug player. Its not just 1-2 levels either. Not sure why that is.

as for PUGs - I'm always running in pugs we run a guild group once a week due to our busy schedules.

I think this is a very bad idea... If you are looking for RP or PvE bonuses the relics are not the way to go.

And that's **if** you happen to be playing the class the group may need/want. Imagine if you leveled up something you had legit fun with (Thane/Friar/Champion/etc.)... only to find out that since it's not the "meta" you won't ever get a PUG invite... talk about a Debbie Downer to having fun.

If you aren't a PVE player or an 8-man player, big-boy RVR here is extremely hit or miss (and mostly miss).

Was out roaming around emain and uppland the other day around 5-6pm PST and it was pretty dead. We were only running as 4, but in about an hour we ran across the usual zergs and one small man... then nothing. Feels really dead and a total waste of time to even go out, especially as a small man when 8 mans just chase you down cause they are thirsty for free RPs.

If you can't play at EU prime time or within an hour or two of it then you are pretty much ****** out of luck.... Unless you like zerging keeps for 500-800 RPs a pop. #boringashell

Also, puging is brutal in all the realms from what I have come to discover (only hib/alb experience though... but people from mid cry all the time and... well it's mid so it's natural they get all the mongoloid helmet wearers), unless you are somebody who enjoys reteaching people about how to pre-kite and to not caster stun the det 5 tanks... good times.
