We created a new guild recently and the original creator (rank 0/leader) has had a ton of stuff going on in RL recently. He decided that the best way to pass this responsibility off was to leave the guild and then have us re invite him at a lower rank.

The issue is that now we have no rank 0 (leader) in the guild. We cannot access the bank, join alliances, etc. We have appealed this issue several days ago and have not heard a response.

Does anyone know the correct process to take to get ANY of the active members promoted up to Rank 0?

If a guild's leader has been absent for more than three months we will grant leader status to the next highest active guild member. If there is a dispute amongst guild members of equal rank who are both active, the guild should contact support only after resolving which player will receive the promotion.

We did appeal, 4 days ago.

Best I can suggest is to check the /gc command list and see if any of you can make somebody the leader... or the appeal. It's ******. Guild system in DAoC is a bit wonky at times.

Only a rank 0 can make another player a rank 0 (or the staff can after enough time has passed). The former rank 0 needed to:
/gc leader billybob BEFORE he left the guild.

You will have to wait for Blue (or any of the other GMs) to do something about it.

This is what I figured, I think I was combining mechanics from Ultima Online in my head... there was a way if enough of the people directly under the guild leader voted allegiance it would swap. I thought DAoC had something similar but I guess not. Whoops.

Yes this will cost 1g for recreating, and another 300g for the guild emblem.

But i think it will be faster than getting a gm, in this state of the server, at your point, except you are a 40-50 man guild. They are quite busy at getting this thing running you know?

If they all leave the guild and recreate they will have lost a LOT. What's in the guild bank will be gone, the guild house will be gone, etc.

redo appeal ever new day i think.. not sure if they dissappear over time

We do not have an ongoing ticket system for appeals. If you don't get an answer you are free to re-appeal on a later day.

Please keep in mind if you have any rank 0's, we will not promote anyone until 90 days have passed.

He just said the rank 0 left guild=no rank 0 left in guild. so they are in limbo

If you no longer have a rank 0 in your guild (not an absencent one) please PM me the guild name.
