10 days and lag is still here.

Lots of /appeal, no answer.

Well we can't answer each appeal when all appeals say the same. We are working on it. Lags always have priority. At the moment its still a bit difficult to pinpoint the lags as they can occur and vanish quickly. I personally checked on several occasions when players reported lags and found nearly no lag at the same position of the player who just reported it.

Interestingly we see such lag reports with lower population. Some more recent change can have caused this.

Yeah at first i was beliving it was because of the easter event and many people are crowded in a single zone (SH) but even yesterday in malmo it was nearly unplayable. We where with 3 guildgroups, and it was really horrible. Had to call the guild event off early.

What i also notice often happening is skills in my quickbar appear to be usable but when i try to use them it says its still on cooldown for sometimes 1:30 mins on MCL

Its impossible to find no lag when the game is unplayable for all pll in rvr.

The question is where does it come from suddenly. As all actions are queued in timer queues there's alot that comes into question. If one of these actions delays too much we see a lag happen. At the moment we see about up to 30.000 actions / second in just one timer queue which is alot so small delays quickly sum up. I have ideas to minimize impacts but it will take a bit time to get that implemented. Its definitely high prio.

Yesterday 7pm -10pm CEST it was horrible to play due by lags and it seemed to be in every zone. I was in DF and before that in skona, names and mobs disappeared, sometimes got invissible, nearly zone freezes with red middle ping for many seconds,- quite terrible.

In my opinion these lags occured after you made some server changes with reboot a few weeks ago.
The lag issue seems even worse compared to the relaunch with 5k players and now it ´s just the half of players what makes me pondering.

If it ´s not only the playernumbers it might be broken hardware or connectivity problem, DOS attacks or an error in code maybe? :(

There was a fix for some minor lag some weeks ago, then npcs started to disappear, then you made a change to the code for that, and in my opinion that's when the bad lag started to appear. Now we have bad lag and disappearing npcs, mobs and even players.

The disappearing NPC/Player issue should be reported by /callgm so I can check in realtime whats the issue. People beyond VPN's will have more troubles than others. Disappearing npcs and players in most cases means you have an UDP problem.

some weeks ago, i had this issue, and solved it with +noUPDforme in launcher settings.. But the last 4-5 days i have it again, from the moment, when the lagg startet.. So tbh i doubt its only an UPD problem.

The invisible Player.. Mobs etc.. this should be anything else too. Cant imagine, that weeks of playing with this change in setting was fine, just to come back when Server starts to lag.

Yesterday it startet around 7pm EU time, even crafting bridles (4s) took here and there more then one min to end the crafting?

Do you want an /callgm on every issue? if yes, i will start doing it too ..

I /appeal everytime...

Im pretty sure its not an UDP problem. All ppl lag in RvR, same effects for all.

When the server hasn't been rebooted for a long time, something that doesn't happen very frequently can start to build up, such as for example, server memory not always being freed after certain tasks. Do you see that kind of buildup when the server hasn't been rebooted for days?
