I am experiencing serious ingame lags, playing in Dartmoor since 8 pm (CET).
Internet connection is fine. Other people report the same also from different zones. The lags are similar to those observed on Saturday. |

I just logged off. Can't deal with 4+ second casting lagg and mobs rubber banding around.

Run WinMTR (http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/) to server.uthgard.net and let it send at least over 1000 packets - it will show where the lag/breakdown is on the way to the server. It's been increasingly laggy lately for me. I ended up testing out a program/"VPN" called Mudfish (http://mudfish.net/) and I'll test the routing with that enabled next and see if it's any better. My routing consistently hits the ****** wall in New Jersey/London.

Its important to make a distinction between lag types.
If you type a chat message and press enter, the time it takes until it shows in chat is your roundturn/ping to the server. This is network related. Casting a spell is different as it has to go through the timer system. If you notice a delay between starting an action and seeing the effect thats a server side lag. This can be fixed by us. Network lags are a different beast and can't be easily fixed. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

11.04.2017 since 8pm (CET)
Experiencing again increasing lags while casting. Response is up to 2 seconds late with some variation. At the same time the chat responds without any obvious delay. According to Blue's previous explanation, this would mean server lags again. Similar lags were solved yesterday with a server reboot. Cheers Nirahse |

Am logged in atm.
There is a lag of a second or two between seeing my spells cast and then seeing the effect on the mob. I am in what is normally a low pop zone (hib - cliffs of moher). Movement and chattting seems fine to me. Na Fianna Dragun

Just a heads up, and if it's okay with Blue and the staff I'll make a guide post...
I just tried out a very cheap "VPN" - which I think is probably the wrong term. Just a program that reroutes data through their own nodes/pathways to help decrease your ping time to the server, etc. I've tried two... Pingzapper - download it, have it target your uth.exe and uth.dll and it will run game traffic through it's own routing Mudfish - enable the DAoC "item" on it's dashboard and it routes it accordlingly. Each of them has a cost - I went with Mudfish because it's $3 USD for 25~ or so gigs of data. DAoC uses next to no data to play so for a few bucks you might be able to improve your connection to the server. Somebody from here already uses Mudfish because Uthgard is the only DAoC server it is setup to work with currently  http://mudfish.net https://pingzapper.com/ There are a few more, but I've only tried those two. |
