Coming to Hib from Alb b/c I need a change of pace. I recently changed my work schedule and found that I have an absorbent amount time on my hands furing the week. I didn't delete my albs, but I did the realm transfer. I plan on playing something for an 8v8 and small man pugs.

The question I have for you hibs is what is needed? I've played every archetype and I'm interested in a bard, eld, or whatever really is needed the most commonly. Since I'm playing to group and not solo I need something that is wanted. Suggestions?

Obviously having speed helps, but how is solo tasking till 20 on a bard? Is it stomachable?

Solo? As a bard? With lvl 19 i couldnt do killtasks because i couldnt kill blue mobs.
Bards only lvl in groups if u get a group. They are alot of bard players because in late game they are to less GOOD bards. In some lvl ranges and playtimes there are a lot of bards who looking for groups. If u stuck in such ranges and u dont have a good ally, guild or reputation its possible to sit a long time for the first invite and than u maybe get a chaos group.
If u came from alb u cant compare a bard with a afk lvling minstrel. You have to mezz, heal and switching chants. that means that u have alot off impact but it means also that people wll see evry misstake u make. Later in pvp also. If u group will be wiped its a bards fault if u win the fight it was the hole group.

Bards have alot of impact in daoc but also have a high skill cap. Thats why alot of player create bards and stop lvling or pvping with them and thats why good bards will ever find rvr groups. Some of my friends are really good players and couldnt handle it and were really bad bards that they had to reroll.

So if u think u will be s good bard then i would recommend you a bard. If u dont think you can handle it its maybe better to pick a drood or a bm.

Ah and yes, think about the point that bards are bad farmers so maybe its a idea to start with a farming class like ench.

Eld? Eld is one of the most bad classes to pick if you dont have a guild/setgrp running.
There are almost all the day 3-4 elds in druim ligen lfg. sure, not all of them are 'the best elds'. But believe me as someone who already stand 3-4 eve in a row 4h lfg in DL, that eld is a rly bad choice if you planing to pug.

I just can confirm like everyone in this thread, take a bard if you ALWAYS wanna find a grp.
Bard is currently the by far most needed class for rvr in hibernia.
Druids and Warden imo are also a good choice, yes even warden will find their pug's faster then elds. :p
