Alb player considering a Mid-Reroll. I'm not one to join the zerg side, but Mid has always been where my nostalgic heart lies. The other thing is Alb has become a necro/cabby solo duo zerg fest, and its making PvE a real drag to the point where I don't want to suffer through til 50.

Would anybody like to go in on a plat transfer from alb?

Any decent endgame focused guilds recruiting? Preferably one with a big alliance.

Definitely would like to do some MDPS, namely savage, but I hear they maybe are gimped compared to Zerks. After reading the forums it still doesn't seem like anybody has conclusively answered this, or has any numbers to back up either side... Savage is again where the heart lies so I hope I can roll a Savage without being ostracized from 8 mans.

Cheers,

Nowind

I recently went alb myself - how much plat are we talking about? What about items?

You can definitely play a savage. In my mind, a savage requires a few more RR to shine, compared to a Berserker and the Berserker is also the simpler class to me, meaning that a mediocre or less player, will have an easier time performing well on a berserker, compared to a savage. That said, I think you would do fine on a Savage and honestly, play what you enjoy, as it will ensure you stay around for the long run.
Just about done..

Isn't the forums swarmed with threads explaining this exact issue? Just ask google mate, I know I've typed it up in threads on Uth-forums myself at least once..:

Savage h2h counts as a single weapon when it swings, where the zerker la-system counts as two individual swings. That makes zerker the more reliable solution when trying to hit a target in RvR that is being guarded by a blockbot, cause you'll have double the chance of getting through the guard. Also, the zerker with hammer/la-spec has both a side- and backsnare, and queue'ing thoose two together makes for a perfect way of sticking to a target in RvR.

--> If a group just needed one light tank, the zerker would rule supreme, cause they have the better light tank utility. In a group with 2-3 light tanks (standard 8man setups), you can easily have just 1 zerker and 2 savages, but not having any zerkers at all in the train prolly would cripple the groups potential. The savage also have the higher damage-spikes, so that's a + too

If you decide to roll a zerker or savage, I can craft you a lowbie suit and have it SCed. I do it for people all the time, and it won't take me more than 30 minutes to accomplish. Makes levels 5-15 go by much faster

Exactly stuff like this is why I'm going Mid lol. Not a fan of the selfish "take up entire camp other people are dead to me" Necro trains. Much appreciated my man.

Probably still a better love story than twilight...

Try getting an Inf to 50 in a way that doesn't require you to get a Necro to 50 first to trade PL for PL.
