I had the same problem and I fixed it by changing my dns as instructed here: https://use.opendns.com/

All I did was changing my DNS to: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
then I opened cmd and typed: ipconfig /flushdns
Edit: You also have to restart your system after this (I didn't need to but it seems to be the case for some people)

Works for me

Is the uthgard public ip static or elastic? I might just put a hostfile entry in if I can

I can confirm that this is not working for some. I'm computer savvy also, tried doing the above, also clearing cache, and changing router settings to this too. Guess I'll need to wait.

set DNS to primary 208.67.222.222 and alternate 208.67.222.220

I had all the same symptoms as everyone else, comcast seattle wa. Only thing i did was the above and it fixed the problem for me.

I had a DNS set to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 before the problem.
I just switch back to Auto DNS, reboot the computer and it worked for me.
(windows 7, France, sorry for bad english :p)

It's a DNS issue, check the main forums thread the guy made on how to change it or look on YouTube for a video on how to change your DNS then the OpenDNS address too.

I actually had it work yesterday with the openDNS steps above, but today I'm getting a completely new error message:

'Patcher encountered an unhandled exception. The remote server return an error: (503) Server Unavailable."

Used this : https://use.opendns.com/ also and worked fine here, have windows 10, not sure if this is important.

Just righclick your active internet connection in the internet and network center(sorry dont know the exact name since my pc is non-english) and chose "properties", then mark "internetprotocol version 4" and click "properties" of that again, then in the lower part enter the ip adress that is shown in the link above(its 208.69.38.205) .

I, too, am on Comcast in central US - same problem.

I have been using Google DNS for years and everything has worked fine on Uthgard. Why does Google DNS no longer randomly work for Uthgard, yet OpenDNS DNS servers do...?

What changed? Anyone know? This doesn't make a ton of sense...

ka was uthgard mit meiner angeblichen selbst(un)zufriedenheit zu tun haben soll, aber ich bin ganz einfach nicht so schlau wie du. nimm mich!
