Keep in mind that there may be different resist rates for players and mobs.

I'm playing a 50 runnie and resist rates seem to be working fine for me in both pve and pvp. I played just about every caster in the game on live and my experience here seems to be the same.

Think there is some RNG bug atm.. Our 50 fully buff savage got blocked twice in a row by a grey sylvan hero .. But no says the GM's, there is no error in code anywhere, a lvl 20 unbuffed hero, block buffed 50's on regular basis... |

Try RvR abit more, and you'll notice that the RNG seems really awkward atm. Also a lvl 25 spell got like 20% chance to resist i guess?(Don't know the exact numbers), if it's true there is a base resist chance of 15%... So even 5 resist in a row, seems really unlikely. |

You can get very unlucky on uthgard regarding resists, that's why it feels kinda off.
Not sure about general resist rate, but it happened to me several times already, that 3 out 4 nukes (level 50 spell) or 2-3 body debuffs in a row (level 46) get resisted. Combined with the insane mana problems you have as a caster, those "unlucky streaks" are definitely loosing you fights. |

Not sure why but it feels like player resists (what it says in your character sheet) matter in RvR. I was nuking some fully buffed players around sauvage today and getting A LOT of resists- I'm talking like 3 out of 7 resisted lvl 50 spells. Later on I was encountering some others that weren't buffed and was getting about 1 in 8 resisted spells. It may be a coincidence but I don't think it's just me having these issues.
-I think something fishy is going on. Today I cast a lvl 49 root 3 times and it still didn't stick. I know there's RNG but this doesn't feel like the proper probability to me. |

the more casters you have the less a single resist means
|

perhaps it's worth to actually do a statistically meaningful test since there were/are so many things broken on Uth 2.0 that weren't on Uth 1.0, wouldn't be such a surprise if resistrate is another one.
